PvP Healing questions

I've been told repeatedly that healers carry PvP. No other role matters as much, but I'm honestly struggling. As someone who can solo heal T4, I'm not really used to struggling, but suddenly I'm finding that I can't do much of anything, let alone heal, and the so-called PvP abilities that I've unlocked, Equanimity and Purify seem to do nothing. (Equanimity in particular)

I have the i55 PvP gear, but I'm always told to stick with my i90 gear, even in lvl 50. So far this problem seems to persist at every rank. I can't do anything, and even when I use abilities that are supposed to let me act uninterrupted, I still get interrupted, and shortly burst down and killed.

All I can suggest Sabeta is to not give up if you wish to succeed at PvP,

It's very diffucult at first, that is for sure, but you can only really learn by doing. We healers are very easily pressured in an Arena environment, Surecast and swift cast should not be used one after the other, if you are SCH try to get Galvanize up first, it's only direct damage which interupts us, DoT's and floor AoE tend not to do so, Use purify to rid of stuns, sleeps, DoT's or other threatening debuffs, having it on the upgraded CD can help too.

WHM I find is diffucult without PvP skills in 30, try to stick with 40 as WHM until later, use stone on the enemy healer on swiftcast to Heavy them and then maintaint he regens on your party, surecast your cures, and save Equanimity for when you need a few casts and not just one, also use pillars and obstacles to your advantage.

It takes time, but if you keep at it, you can learn, just some ideas to get your head going :D I hope I helped!

So I'm getting a little better. I've managed to LoS people to heal on occasion, and I sprint a lot more.
I'm also using Eye for Eye to help.

What abilities should I use as CC? On that note, what should I take for PvP abilities/buffs
Obviously Mind is important, but is it worth taking before I get abilities?

You need Attunement (Greatly enhances evasions, while nullifying 90% of damage. Cannot Move or act while in effect)

This is your God mode when they try to zerg you

equanimity will let you cast uninterrupted but any stuns will lock you so be careful

I'm starting to get a hang of things. Attunement turns me into a wall basically right? Should I get that before Mind up, or is survival key.
(Less important, but my Action Points, can they be spent on other classes, or are they limited to the one I PvP with)

So how on earth am I supposed to even heal?
Nothing I've tried working. I barely heal myself let alone anyone else. I always see the other teams healers with 11k+, I'm lucky to get adlo off on myself.
I find it hard to believe that every single run my team is doing something wrong while the enemy always gets it right. The only common demononator between
each fight is myself, so there must be something that I'm doing.

I reiterate

Equanimity can be stunned through
Purify only ever really works once, and then I'm immediately stunned again.

I can sprint all over the place, it doesn't stop Dragoon from using Spineshatter followed by Leg Sweep to let the rest of their group catch up.
I can LoS abilities, but in most cases groups simply pincer me and stun me at a corner. I'm at level 40/30, so Morale isn't even a factor. What's going on here?

I've learned things

Ruin II is amazing
Blizard II is even better
Energy Siphon is also amazing

I got Attunement. Eos + Attunement is pretty awesome.
Still losing most of my matches, but my next upgrades will be Mind+

Make sure you're microing your fairy properly. The fairy "AI" was turned to trash in 2.1, so set her to Obey and have her spam heals, even when you're at max HP (to snipe incoming damage).

Don't go Lv50 till you have at least full i70PvP you will just get rushed down and die. Que 30/40
PvP Skills(my way): Purify > Equanimity > Purify CD > Attunement > Equanimity 20s > Divine Breath > Divine Breath II
Put Fairy always on obey/steady, use it to heal yourself and your team while kiting.
Abuse LoS as much as you can.
Always keep Ado+(Stoneskin(on yourself)) up.
Always keep at least 1 Lustrate for yourself, use Aetherflow on cd
Watch the enemys cds, if there is a MRD running at you with BFB and raging prepare to either sprint away or attune after Holmgang/Stun/Full Swing
Almost always purify Full Swing and dots or if you have time to dispell yourself

practice the basic of running behind a pillar/wall and casting. Sometimes a tomahawk/arrow may hit you and interrupt but just cast again quick.
