The "not quite thread-worthy" thread

Hey all! Got this idea from another forum I frequent and think it could work pretty well here too.

Ask questions/post things that interest you, but don't warrant their own thread.

I'll start:

Just got back from 1.0 and finished the main story. Currently sitting at i60 and spamming Castrum for more DL. Will I be able to hold my own as a WHM i60 in AK or WP for more efficient tome farming, or am I better off continuing Castrum/Prae/Roulette until I get a little higher iLevel?

i60 should be just fine for WP or AK - the HMs or Pharos will give you a headache!

Make sure you cap your Myth every week though, somehow! And remember that the HMs and Pharos drop i60 items!

Unlock Crystal Towers entrance in Mor Dhona, you get 50 Myth pieces and 200 Philo pieces a run, also you can roll on a ilevel 80 chest for your healer :D only one loot piece a week so dont greed on something by accident you dont need and I always upgrade chest first XD. CT for me is the fastest way to get Philo and Myth.

They have toned down AK and it drops i55 gear now so it is not much harder than WP...both are fairly easy. I would think if you are truly i60 in the right gear (have seen tanks wearing caster gear...no joke!) then you should be just fine....for the HM Dungeons though I would have some DL going in there or it could be rough. Copperbell is the easier mechanics than the other two just FYI. I would get into and unlock CT as soon as possible though because you get 200 philo and 50 Myth plus ilv80 gear drop once per week...much better to farm this ASAP when you can survive well enough.

You'll be fine. Just that first run will be a little rough getting to know things. And its even easier if you don't have MT or OT during the King Behemoth fight.

If you can find another healer to help you out, it will go much smoother too.

Also, Titan HM drops i80 weapons now too if you want to run that instead of going after relic immediately. That would leave you some room to use philo stones on more DL gear.

I will not recommend someone with less than i70 to try farming Titan HM, especially the healer...

Bumping this for some new questions!

How much gil, on average, does it cost to get relics (given you buy everything). Is double melding the same as it was as in 1.0? Will I have a 25% chance (or whatever) to successfully do a double tIII meld, or have they changed things?

Depends on the server.

I remember just before 2.1 the price of melded pre-relic weapon was already down to like 10k each. So it's trivial to get it now.

If you mean you buy the HM primal runs, too, then I have no idea how much it would cost...are anyone even selling those now?

Already have all 3 HM wins so that shouldn't be an issue (hopefully!). Thank you for the quick answer!

(I hope other people catch onto the thread to ask some stuff of their own!)
