UL TROS NO 1.
It seems to be the same as any other server tbh. The economy (marketboard) got ground to shit, the party finder is full of people wanting "experience" but are usually the first to die, FC's are FC with mixes of people just like every other server; as for friendliness theres lots of asshats like everywhere else, but I've met alot of nice people; some in the end game area. Ultros has a few large LS for endgaming and helping notably; Raid Ready Ultros and Ultros Nation. There's others I'm sure that I'm not aware of though. There's also a few Behemoth/Odin watch, and Digging LS.
^ Described Behemoth to a T. Minus the linkshell names. That would be weird. Though we probably have more oceanic players as well as the US base.
Midgardsormr #1
Leviathan has an inordinate amount of Twitch.tv broadcasters that play on that server, though Ultros had Jesse Cox. (I don't know if he still plays. I doubt he does.)
The marketboards are like every other non-Legacy server. Except the usual when it comes for party finder boards, too.
Couerl, best server NA
Hmm if I had to go by my experiences in df, it would be Balmung.
I would suggest Balmung, a lot of party finder primals, good fcs and a terrible economy; but overall its a friendly server, with a lot of population and activity.
Isn't that the point of experience parties? To learn?
Ultros has a few nasty people on it (same could be said for any server). Me and my friend find it to be dead and are thinking of moving servers.
We play across all timezones and at a certain time all the action just stops. So you have to get what you want done quickly.
To Xraspux, is Balmung legacy? What region is it?
Ultros is a primarily NA server thus it dies late at night/early in the morning.
You misunderstood what I was meaning by "experience." A lot of people put PF groups up asking for "experienced players only" is what I meant. Not "learning groups."
How much does server transfer cost?
I haven't had a bad experience on Behemoth yet. Low wait times for dungeons, lots of friendly people
Just don't come off as a jerk and screw people over on the new server you go to. Your reputation is based on your actions and how you treat people. No server will change that.
Usually they are parties where one member gets carried by the others in the group whom have already dungeon multiple times (and are most likely over-geared for the content). These parties are, usually, not there to help others learn. Usually, if a newcomer does manage to get their way into such a group (and isn't the one who posted on the party finder), they will be the first to be expelled from the party.
That is what you can come to expect from these types of groups, which is their prerogative.
Usually.
