SCH and WHM in Pharos

Was hoping to hear some insight with Scholar. I ran Pharos successfully with my WHM i58. Siren is supposed to be the deal breaker, but it took us 2 tries to fight it. I can honestly say its not as bad as people make it [Siren] out to be. I am not gloating, if its hard for others, its hard. Psyched me out when I rolled in in High lvl today. But i wonder if its harder from a Scholar's perspective? I actually have a harder time healing the First boss.

Siren battle requires you to constantly keep your party topped off in heals. That is generally kind of difficult for Scholars? With Medicas and Regens, it makes it eas(ier) for a WHM.

On the flipside, I believe it to be easier for scholars to heal the first boss due to Stacks that like to explode from the dogs. that damage can be mitigated, but healers will end up spamming heals while building aggro from dogs

Any SCH/WHM feel the same/ have different opinions?

So far, all three of my successful DF Pharos runs were all done with SCH.
So...it just might be easier with Scholar what's with them having pets and all those mitigations.

I don't know from Scholar perspective though. My Scholar alt is still level 34.

Lustrate gets around the healing debuff, so SCH has an easier time if Lunatic Voice isn't interrupted.

Your fairy is essentially Regen and SCH is actually much better at single target healing than WHM is as long as you manually control the fairy so they do just fine getting Charm off of people.

On thing that many people seem to be unaware of about that fight is that the move that Siren does that puts a healing debuff on all players can be interrupted! Its called Lunatic's Voice.

Whether tank or dps manages to interrupt this ability or not makes the whole difference from a healer perspective in this fight. Getting the heal debuff off of four people takes about 10 seconds in total, including GCDs. Thats a lot of time and during that time the posses thing WILL be used by Siren. So then it becomes a bit luck based, if she does possess on someone you have removed heal debuff from you may be ok, else you are in trouble.

I suspect that healers who say "this fight wasn't so hard" have done it in groups that managed to interrupt most of the Lunatic Voice. Because then, the fight isn't hard for a healer.

I have beaten the fight even with no interruptions, as WHM, but I would not call that easy. It takes some luck and overgearing.

It's only "hard" to top people off if they are stupid like **** xD.
If they dodge pretty much everything and keep the crawlers of your feet Eos/Selene can almost solo heal it.
Well, of course it's just my PoV and i was overgearing it, but the SCH mechanics should make it easier than for a WHM(Lustrate ignoring healreduce, Sacred Soil, Adloq-shields, etc)

The most important part is that a dd or a tank is interrupting the AE-healreduce and that they keep the crawlers of your feet :>
Everything else is not that difficult, for neither a WHM nor a SCH.

If someone stops Lunatic Voice, this fight is trivial for either Healer (assuming your DPS is actually killing the adds).
If Lunatic Voice isn't interrupted, you're gonna want to be rolling a SCH as their mitigation and buffs/debuffs greatly help (plus in an emergency, Lustrate can be used to bypass the heal debuff if you don't have time to remove it).

I just want to add that this is probably the best fight to plan on using a healer Limit. Lunatic Voice is pretty fast for how terrible of a move it is so if she gets it off and you don't think you will be able to top off the charmed person in time, you can pop the healer LB and recover a ton of HP to help push everyone closer to full.

Simple, fight is easy if you have someone interupting lunatic voice, if it's not interupted then the fight is going to be hard.

I managed to clear this boss without interuption, but hell that was difficult :) even harder than coil and some primals (for real :) )

SCH defintely has an easier time doing Pharos than WHM imo. Even if Lunatic Voice isn't interrupted, Lustrate still penatrates the debuff and take down the charm (and it has three uses with 1 min re-charge on aetherflow). In addition, any use of macro will significantly increase your healing efficiency as a player.

Especially the use of (/ac "Leech" <mo>) and multiple off-GCD spells into one button macro helps tremendiously in Siren's fight.

I still remember I was able to carry a bunch of fresh-50s as a lv85 SCH, that was fun.

Selene can interrupt lunatic voice.

Well, its easy for a scholar, using all EOS abilities and lustrate works awesomely fine on this fight
