Fast mob markings - how to?

Played through Haukke HM on roulette yesterday, and DF tank was marking all mobs instantaneously. Like, door opens... POOF... in split second there are correct 1-2-3 marks on all mobs in a room. So, how it can be done? Some (in- or out- game) macros?

Place the marks in your action bars.
Target a mob, and use the shortcut to mark, just like you would use a skill.

It helps also if you have a gaming mouse. I used the razer naga and I map my marking skills to the top 3 mouse buttons. Hope this helps :D

No, i saw enough pretty fast markings with the Naga. Marks in that case appear one by one, as player switches target or <mouseover> the mobs.
But at that case all marks was placed simultaneously, in *one* second. Not once, but in every room.

imo just mark the target u want down 1st as 《no.1》..then slowly mark the rest

My guess is keybinds. IIRC there are options to put "next target, previous target" on your action bar, so if someone binds that key to something obscure and also binds that same button to something on a gaming mouse or other pad, they could in theory just fly through targets and mark them in an instant. Of course they get no control over what actually becomes target 1, etc, but they might also just not care.

I just put my "marks" on my hotbars and key bind that to "g". Then click g then a mob and press 1, tab 2, tab 3 and so on. Can easily place 3-5 marks in just a second.

This will mark 3 mobs. Be careful though as it will mark anything in camera view. So if a mob is patting around in the back of the room like say Aurum Vale with its 20 trash pulls in the first room, then you're gonna have a bad time.

Pretty much. I mine personalized to where you choose an enemy, and then mark from there

/mk "attack1"
/nexttarget
/mk "attack2"
/nexttarget
/mk "attack3"
/target <attack2>
/target <attack1>

This allows you to mark 3 enemy targets instantly. In the case of you having 3 or more mobs, the /target <attack1> will switch you back to your first marked target. It will first go to attack2, then to attack1. This is why I have attack2 first: In the event you have 2 enemies, mark1 will end up being overidden, so you will have <attack2> and <attack3>. in this case, you do not have <attack1>, which is why i have /target <attack2> in the macro incase that ever happens. Assume that this works best in dungeons.


not around my ps3 atm, but im pretty sure that is the correct macro i have. It works wonders

marking is for weaklings, be a man and kill them all at once!

If you want up to 5 marked do it like suggested in this thread but going from 5 down to 1 that way it will overwrite the higher numbers and end up focusing the one.

I suggest you mark them by yourself. If you need marks you do want to kill a dangerous enemy first and markingmacros are random.

Bind mark to keys.

For instance, bind them to the 1, 2, 3 keys.

Then just: tab, 1, tab, 2, tab, 3.

Almost instant marks. I have mine set up on my mouse. Better than the above suggestion as it can be switched up precisely on the fly.
