To the Devs: Will FFXIV PS4/PC have Oculus Rift Compatibility?

When I did a bit of research last night It would seem Oculus Rift ( If that's the commercial use name) is nearing completion for the first version of Virtual Reality Headset. ( Late 2014-Early 2015 seems to be the release window)

I am curious if they are interested in supporting the Oculus Rift with FFXIV?

I heard they were using it on Mirrors Edge......I couldn't handle that....lol. One fall and i'm going to puke. :P Same with this game....sometimes if i jump from something really high, my stomach lets me know it doesn't like that. haha.

Doubtful, since they already dropped 3d vision from 1.0> 2.0, but you never know I guess.

the OP wrote that probably in hopes to get the moderators/developers attention on a question that he feels can't be answered by the general players. It wasn't stupid or anything. no need to be rude. jeez...

Actually it was.

It gives no "extra chance" whatsoever (and that has already been stated by the CMs), and implies OP wants a higher priority than other people's threads, which would be unfair to everyone else. It's only disadvantages.

Not to mention he didn't bother to search in the forums, because there are other threads about the same subject.

Technically I was asking a direct question to the Devs that I am not directly asking anyone else but the Devs. Yes you can respond to the thread saying you don't/do want it, but that doesn't stop the fact that I am asking the Devs.

Use a direct way to contact the devs without cluttering the forums even more or (gasp!) contributing to an existing thread, then. After all, there ARE ways to contact them.

Lol, or you could just (gasp!) not respond to a thread I opened up O.O.

I also don't make many threads, so it's not like I "purposely" clutter the forums, it simple came to mind and I asked a question ( not to you) but to the Devs. For you to outburst telling me it's wrong for me to make a thread about it is silly.

Actually, it's the [To The Dev] that makes us laugh. It has been stated multiple times that the 'Devs' tag is useless and that it is not needed.

But to answer your question, I vaguely remember SE stating this may be something they may look into the future, but it is not planned. In the meantime, I did a search for you and found this: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ev#post1231040
