Grade 6 and 7 trees.

Back in December they removed Rosewood, Spruce and Ebony Logs because there was no use for them at the time.

Will we have to wait for rank cap increase and new zones?

I would really like G6 and G7 trees implemented.

Ive seen good spots from Petrified and Ancient Logs but thats probably way in the future.

Also seen Teak Logs in Local Leves and possibly Peach and Cherry exists.

Would also like to see Harvesting points give Linen Moss.

All this can be done for Mining too. Platinum, Adamant ect ect.

I'de assume a rank increase will bring these materails back into play
As a fellow 50 BTN, we both are very aware of the pain that not having grade 6 trees causes, but having materials with no use doesn't really help either.

I'm honestly hoping that future rank materials will be more challenging in some way, so allowing us to stock up early, would be counterproductive.

I'd definitely like to see higher grade trees, if not for the new mats, at least for the SP. I'm r45, and yes, I'm starting to feel the pain. It could be implemented in a stepped fashion. Start grade 6 with trees like willow and maple, and move on from there. On my server, willow is exceedingly rare because no high ranking botanist wants to farm it, and low ranking botanists don't realize it's useful. Implement it in a higher grade tree and willow will come back to the markets once more. At the same time implement new high ranking recipes that require those mats.

I agree on the grade 6. But there is no need for grade 7 as we do not have any way of detecting them until the cap is raised

We could definitely use grade 6. I can think of a few things mining could do without bringing in platinum and adaman ores. It could contain all the tier 3 gems, which do have recipes. It could have a higher probability of obtaining gold ore and mythril ore than grade 5. It could have darksteel ore which could be given some rank 50 recipes. Plus the usual junk, although pyrite, zinc and tin should go.

Yea, i think Grade 6 would be more likely than 7 in the near future but i fear they are holding them off until everything else is done. Which is understandable.

I only know one other person on server that owns an Ebony Log than myself. Sits proudly in my bazaar. ^^

Also got 12 Spruce and Rosewood, think all they can be made into is Lumber and Planks, so not much point selling them.

Will be a god day when they are implemented.

Especially those white trees in South Coerthas.

I still have a lot of spruce and other wood that was removed back when I farmed Grade 5 nodes from Sept 22nd until they removed them all. In fact I actually leveled Botanist from Rank 1 to about Rank 20 on Grade 5 nodes because I was farming Velveteen Moss to make into dye long before anyone else was supplying them since there was only one or two weavers on the server even able to use them. I never sold them since at the time no one could use them, and so they sit in my retainer untouched. I am in the 30s now on Botanist and am hoping they decide to put in Grade 6 nodes before the Grade 5's I will shortly be ranking up on get to be poor SP.

Personally I don't see why they can't open up Mor Dhona for Grade 6. I searched around that zone for hours back in the day and all I found was Spearfishing (IIRC). Personally I think it is quite unfair that Fishermen have access to Grade 6+ when Botanists and Miners do not.

So there aren't any grade-6-7 tree to yield now, or they just get no good items?

As a fisher myself, I know many grade 6-10 fisher spots. They only give good SP, but all fishes are same as grade-1.


@SA, I think you mean normal fishing spot in mordhona, I haven't seen spear fish there yet.

No there is no points, since unlike fisher who can stay at a spot we need to find a node after every x amount of point so grade 7 would be pointless, 6 wouldnt be however since we should get our search ability for grade 6 at rank 48

So you can not see any single point blink of grade 7+ at all? or it is just too hard to find without ability?

there is no point in the game above grade 5

Fishing is tempered however by less SP per sucess vs Mining and Bot. This though is countered as there are Grade 10 waters that are completly safe, only have low level fish in them, and give excellent SP once you can get your bite rate up a bit (post R32 with a Rattan Rod seems to help a ton).

I agree with OP though, the world is vast. really huge actually. But SOO many zones have no: Advanced gathering nodes, Leves, Quests, or any other reason to get your out there. Aside from a few camps most people go to grind on...lots of it is wasted.

The question 'Do we need to have a rank cap increase to get all this?' still remains.

I would love to see a timeline for this type of content.
Theres only a small percentage of us who care about this but would be nice to know if it was 3 months away or 1 year away.
