live letter... avoid the forums

Man you guys complain about the dumbest things... stop crying seriously?

Coil 1-5 lockout removal

makes sense, casuals need to catch up so they can experience the current content, all you people that worked hard are already set for 6-9, you don't need to farm old content anymore... stop feeling "betrayed" this happens in every MMORPG, not to mention Coil is part of the story, if you didn't see this coming you are naive.

All you geared players will be showing off in your new 6-9 pieces while the scrubs that were inspecting you right now, will still be inspecting you after 2.2 because they can't beat 6-9.

Also, do you really think casuals will smash 1-5 easily? even with the nerf... I mean look how many people still struggle with Hydra and HM Titan, all those idiots buying runs are gonna have an insanely rough time with 1-5.

relax... 2.2 looks awesome, if you're not happy go play something else.

p.s avoid these forums for a while, trust me.. all these negative people are gonna drag you down with them.

It amazes me how many chicken littles we have here, thinking the sky is going to fall just because of the live letter today...
Like, is it really that serious til everyone and their Mother Miounnes need to make a thread about it?

Even with the coil 1-5 nerf I don't think casuals that queue up with 8 random people will be beating Twintania very easily unless the nerf is so huge it changes her completely. There are a lot of instant kill mechanics, twisters, dreadnaughts, getting hit by divebombs and knocked into the wall. Organized groups who aren't quite there yet on beating her in 2.1 will stand a better chance.

People are jumping to conclusions with minimal information while yelling "The end is near!" Pretty much all that's happening right now.

People wanting to feel exclusive and special for doing content that's half a year old. I fail to understand them.

More often than not the angriest people are the ones being carried through content. At least Thats my experience in mmos where everything isn't handed to everyone.

It doesn't matter if they nerf 1-5 or not. The fact remains that even if they don't nerf it, people are just going
to grind out whatever the iLvl is in 2.2 for Tome items (let's say 110 as an example) then run 1-5 in iLvl 110
gear and they are going to demolish it anyway.

I don't understand the big deal.

Nerf + iLvl 110 Tome gear = 1-5 Easy
No nerf + iLvl 110 Tome gear = 1-5 easy.

All not nerfing is going to do is delay it a little longer, nothing more. Nobody is ever going to -truly- know how
hard it was pre-2.2 unless they willingly go in with only iLvl 90 or lower gear. Which... unless you are wanting
a challenge or just bored is not going to happen.

Good idea, OP. Pity I am a bit of a forum-holic. :P

The forum is no where as bad as in game though. The amount of rage and crying you see from players in game is way worst than the forums.

You don't df hard content often? Many players on the forum have horror stories of how rude players are in game. It's a regular occurrence while on the forums it's just a difference in opinion most of the time rather than rudeness.

I do, and those people are out there, won't deny that. The forums aren't a good indication of what actually IS though. It's unavoidable to cross paths with these individuals who seem bent on ruining your day, and while it is somewhat common, I wouldn't call it a regular occurrence in my experience.

It's often enough for me to consider it worst than the forums and you see posts on it quite often.

Lemme give you an example of just what happened just a couple hours ago in DF.

Queued up as tank for Garuda and I think OT did something minor wrong (not too sure)

Bad players that try to talk down to others is extremely common. Just makes the game non casual player friendly and forces players into just doing content in their own groupies. Also the reason why tank population will never increase.

I'm actually glad with the change. This way my group that's clearing turn 5 regularly can help out the less fortunate/skilled/casual or w/e the "pros" wanna call them, people in my FC , clear coil.

I always wonder why so many are interested in what others are thinking?
I mean, ... if you have beaten it before - its fine, be proud of it, if not - its fine too, now you have a chance!
Dont we play to have fun, for our own good?
Somehow i get the feeling many just play MMOGs to feel better with showing others how awesome they are (strange, because you need 7 others for FFXIV).
Please dont burden other players just because you dont have enough selfconfidence...

I was fine with most of that until the 'scrubs' part.

I mean, really?

It all depends on how bad the nerfs are, that's it. Trust me, I'm not saying that it's good to only have one SUPER HARD fight in the game at any given moment..but those people can't just be blocked off at Turn 5, especially as the people searching for T5 is going to dwindle greatly.

Everyone should have this mentality. It's so much more rewarding to help and coach others than to just do everything for yourself. Thank you for being wonderful

Not that I don't agree, but something interesting to consider is that people can buy Turn 1-5 carries now.
