Help with solo healing Titan HM

I know everyone is moving on to EM but some people in my LS are still new to the game and thus, I want to be able to solo heal Titan HM to help them when the time comes for their relic (especially healer needing relic).

I plan to upgrade the warlock's ringband to Royal Celestial Gloves next week as I already got the shoes from CT this week as well as the Strategos Necklace to Hero's Necklace of Healing.
I think I came close to solo-healing post-heart before but failed due to my fairy dying and I didn't have swiftcast. I'm looking for tips to solo-healing this encounter like when to use Whispering Dawn, pop CDs, etc. Is Sacred Soil worth the Aetherflow charge during Geocrush?

Swiftcast makes solo healing the battle 10 times easier. Even though I play WHM instead of SCH, there's times you just need to be able to double up spells. If your tank is well geared then save your debuffs(virus, e4e) to reduce the stomp damage(this is what usually kills dps).Remember, if you're using E4E for stomps, cast it well prior to the stomp phase (bomb mountain buster time) always remember that after every landslide comes a mountain buster, so when the non-bomb phase landslide is being cast, take those seconds to aldo (stone skin if WHM) the mt, get in any debuffs, and as soon as MB lands be casting your group healing(succor). You should be able to get succor to heal part of the first stomp as well as shield the second. As long as you have eos up use WD at that time. Be ready to dodge plumes, and then hit sprint for the bomb phase. Sprint will allow you an easier time with getting off spot heals and securing the tank for taking the next MB while ensuring you will have plenty of time to dodge any incoming landslides and changing locations for the bombs. Other than that it's all practice.

Above all, your DPS need to be able to avoid Plumes and Bombs nearly 100% of the time. Anytime a DPS eats something and you have to heal them is time not spent healing the tank, which can easily cost you the run. You also must keep Succor up on the party at all times on the DPS, so that Stomps don't kill as fast and should one eat something it shouldn't insta-kill him. As for CDs...most useful when things go wrong. You should try to have Sacred Soil on the DPS for Stomps; even though the shield is nice, your AoE heals are no where near as good as a WHM and if you can't keep the DPS topped off they WILL die before you can get the kill.

You also should be full i70 minimum, and should have some i90 on the left (or full Royal). Any crafted i70 must be melded and melded right (those bracelets and ring need melds for sure) and you probably should have the Myth ring. Yes, you need to overgear for this fight.

EoS must be alive the entire time as well (which is more than possible, just position her outside the arena and she'll never get hit by anything)

But overall...its a lot of practice. You have to learn the fight and find what works and what doesn't.

A big part of solo healing Titan HM has to do with how well everyone else is avoiding things. Having to handle only stomps and MB isn't a big deal, but it becomes difficult if you have people constantly eating plumes or bombs. It also helps to be overgeared for the fight.

You need to get swiftcast. It's essentially a requirement for a healer in anything past Titan.

Generally know the rotation like the back of your hand. A geared tank who cycles CDs is not hard to heal through MB. Stomps are your biggest issue assuming people aren't eating avoidable things. Have a succor up before the stomps start. Have everyone stack and sacred soil for post-heart stomps, its worth the charge. If you fall behind, virus the next stomp cycle. Bonus points if you micro Eos' aoe hot and heal buff every other stomp as they are available.

Unless you're tank is top geared and/or your people in the raid are really good at dodging at your gear level I don't think you'll be able to heal it solo. If everyone does their job there really isn't all that much healing that needs to be done.

But you said it yourself... you want to take new players in which means they're going to be eating plumes...knockback....guarantee someones going to die..at least 1-2. So even if you have swiftcast thats a huge hit to your mana pool. I Know SCH's shouldn't have a mana issue but solo healing Titan (even just hm) can be rough with new people...just beware.

Thanks for the inputs. I do have swiftcast now. I do plan to get higher gears and meld those crafted items now that I'm done with my warrior. Omnilex Zenith was my first myth purchase on Scholar since I don't see myself getting the Cognitome anytime soon. When I say to help new people with their relic, I understand that they might get hit by avoidable stuffs that we veterans do not so overgeared is kinda required as well. I'm still not familiar with Scholar enough to know all the CD like the back of my hand since my main is Warrior but I've been running this a lot lately to see how I can improve. I did think about having people stacks for the stomp and sacred soil but new people have not listened well so far. :P

I've solohealed this on scholar at i65. While people are not wrong in saying that overgearing for the fight is good to get better at it etc., it's not really necessary if your team is good enough at dodging (even then some patching can be done) and if you are willing to get good at your task. Also, swiftcast is not mandatory to soloheal it - I am not downplaying the spell's importance in general; it is a must-have for a serious healer, but should everything go according to the plan - there is no real need for it during the fight. At best, you can land an extra succor during p5 tumults, but if you have done your work with precasting the first succor and then doing another one with Rouse + Whispering dawn ticking (and also having whichever Fey skill happened to be up during that rotation up; Titan's rotation takes just about a minute and the two are on 2m CDs - fey illumination naturally helps you healing people up, whereas fey covenant actually lessens tumult damage, as it is magic-based), things will be fine.

But yeah, your healing rotations for this fight on a scholar depend a lot on how quick your DPS is. When doing something like sell-runs or other solohealing festivities, the DPS is usually fast enough that lots of Titan's p1-p3 actions get skipped altogether from his rotations, which might kind of ruin your flow with your fairy CDs, Aethering and sacred soil. However, as I am bored and waiting for someone IRL, here's a somewhat elaborate general run-down of the fight:

p1: Pre-succor everyone before the pull, then succor through the first set of tumults, as well as the 2nd set, should it pop up before titan jumps. Sacred soil the geocrush, can use the other 2 aether stacks on energy drains at this point to make sure you're full MP from the p1 to p2 transitioning succoring, then popping a new Aetherflow. If you want to minmax Eos's CDs, you can use one during p1 so that it won't hinder you at all in further phases.

p2: After making sure everyone is topped off after geocrush (very low damage from the first two jumps, especially with sacred soil), heal the tank normally (or DPS and manually spam embrace!) until the landslide occurs. After this, place your fairy a few steps behind the tank (eyeing it up so that everyone is in the 15y range) and hit up Rouse + WD in anticipation of the p2 tumults. Succor it up, no real urgency to top off people fast here if they are above about 60%+ hp, as that WD will tick fast and nicely. You can/should also cast Virus on Titan just before the p2 tumults, unless you have a DPS there who has casted his randomly before. Depending on your DPS, Titan might skip the p2 tumults altogether and jump, or then jump immediately after the tumults and plumes. Soil up the jump and p3 calls. During this phase you can also blow energy drains to ensure full MP, if you went succor-happy with the topping off, or if you DPS'd excessively and your fairy couldn't keep up completely, you can lustrate the tank to get rid of the stacks.

p3: Top people off from the geocrush, heal the tank normally (or DPS while doing so..), pre-succor people when the gaol is spawned (if you are at full or near full MP which you should be), hit up fey covenant and sacred soil for the tumults, spam succor for a bit, energy drain titan/the gaol once or twice, avoid the coming landslide, Leeches it up to cleanse the guy who got jailed, wait til the plumes pop up, dodge them and pre-position yourself to the west/east edge of the map for the coming bulk bombs, so you don't need to move when they spawn and can just heal/DPS during them. Manage your aether stacks as needed and depending on your MP. If your DPS is quick, titan can skip p3 tumults altogether, not to mention the bulk bombs coming thereafter, so if you sacred soiled the tumults, you might not have it up for geocrush that's to come, but it will be fine if everyone is topped off -ish.

p4/heart phase: as you see Titan jumping up in the air for the p4 transitioning, Rouse + Whispering Dawn it up, have your 1st succor land as titan lands, cast another one, make sure you're at comfortable MP levels but try not to blow too many Aether stacks right now (depending on how many you have left and how many seconds until the next CD is up). Heal the tank normally (and or DPS), until you see the first gaol being destroyed at which point you should sacred soil and get ready to do some succoring. At this point, the tumults add up to quite a lot already and with no WD, you will dip in MP a bit, if you are to top everyone off. Use your remaining stacks (if any left) on energy drains (preferably in cleric's), but make sure you have that Aetherflow CD coming up before p5 begins in full. Remember to Leeches the gaoled guys.

p5 transitioning/first rotation: pop up Fey Illumination as titan is about to do earthen fury, precast your succor so that it lands as the earthen fury hits you all. Pop up Rouse + Whispering dawn, plant a sacred soil in there so that it protects the tank as well as the DPS behind titan, then cast a second succor just as the MB is about to go out on the tank. Lustrate the tank quickly, then do 2 succors while inside of the sacred soil and while spamming embrace manually on the tank. As you dodge the plumes, you should find out that your DPS are not topped off, but still have 6-10~ seconds of roused and fey'd WD left, so as long as they did dodge the plumes, they will be at comfortable levels by the time the row bombs are going out. Adlo your tank while you are waiting for the row bombs go out, for the MB that is to come. As the MB and the plumes following it are gone, pre-succor your DPS to top them off and to pre-shield them for the next tumults and use your last aether stack on energy draining the gaol that was spawned (assuming you didn't blow the last stack on Lustrate after the 2nd MB). You can also swap into cleric's and have your DoTs up on Titan and then Bane the gaol with your last aether stack, but I wouldn't recommend this at all before you're comfortable with the fight even in your dreams. Apply aetherflow and you'll start the new rotation with 3 stacks and plenty of mana.

p5 rinse and repeat: titan does 2 auto-attacks after the rotation-ending landslide, so make sure you you sacred soil when he is about to commence these autoattacks, then adlo the tank while popping a fey skill of your choice (alternating between covenant and illumination) so that it goes up while adlo is being cast. After you finish your adlo cast, quickly hit up Rouse + WD whilst inside of the sacred soil with everyone else. At this point the tank will have gotten hit by MB and you will then quickly lustrate him with your 2nd aether stack, while WD will just about start ticking as the tumults begin. When you have lustrated the tank and as Titan is about to start stomping - do a succor, then do another one (no need for swiftcast), dodge the plumes as they come and everyone should still be at comfortable vitality levels, having lots of excessive WD time left to keep them topped off even with the bomb "burying" to come. As usual, adlo the tank before the MB after dodging the bombs - you shouldn't even need to blow your 3rd aether stack on him unless something bad happens. As you see your aetherflow is coming back up from CD and you still likely have your 1 stack left - energy drain the gaol that spawns, or if super comfortable, do the dots + Bane suggestion above. Re-aether to be at 3 stacks for the next rotation.

Remember to Virus Titan before tumults if applicable (no one hastily used it and no antibody) and use Eye for an Eye off the cooldown. Also remember to cast Leeches on the people with det-down, but if you don't have the time for that at first in p5, that's not a big deal.

One tip from me is the "Determination down" debuff is actually a translation error. It is actually "Damage down" (refer to Japanese client). It has no effect on healing. Save your 186MP if that debuff is on healer.

Sorry, I stopped counting rock buster as anything other than another auto attack. Then again I've been solo healing the same tank for so long on titan that really it only does like 800-1100 damage. It doesn't even break the stone skin. But if we're going to be all technical, then yeah, there's rock buster, an auto attack, and mountain buster after the landslide. The only thing that matters though is you get the tank through MB.

Your DPS must also be spot on. The longer the fight drags out, the harder it becomes (both MP and damage from Tumults become problems). If you're solo-healing, you should have at least some of your DPS grossly overgeared as well.

To be honest I just leave my fairy on auto pilot for solo healing this. I find that it works for me since Eos will sit there and top people off while I focus on the tank.

But yeah as others have said if your DPS can dodge the majority of stuff you'll be amazed how easy it is to solo heal.

I've solo healed both as WHM and SCH and the biggest thing I see is Tanks not managing their CDs correctly. DPS staying alive isn't that big of an issue (I've had 2/5 DPS me as a SCH healer and the PLD tank alive for the last 40-45% of the fight), it's more so the Tank alleviating a lot of the stress of healing Mountain Buster's off of you in order to get ready for the AoE spam of the Tumults coming. This especially helps if there isn't a BRD alive to pop Mana Song for you, that way you have resources to use in places where healing is much heavier 10+ stomps.

DPS dodging is always a plus, it makes the fight go a lot smoother but aside from the Tanks, the easiest and surest way to make sure your solo-healing experience is stress-free is to have a group that knows his mechanic rotations well (i.e. MB, stomps, plumes, rocks after Heart). Knowing the rotation of his mechanics will help you decide where you need to quickly apply your heals and how to really own the fight in a sense.

just learn this, virus, succor sacred soil when stomps and when titan jumps the same but also rouse+fey illumination+whispering down, i recommend this with a macro, and succor again dps need to avoid weight of the land 100% or let eos heal those

just tell ur OT and dps to stack up behind his ass oh and make sure u have a bard

know when buster is coming and have someone playing manasong

spike dmg and oom are the only things that could mess you up
