To the people who complain about the CT loot lockout:

This week has come and there are now players with full sets of CT armor. They did the runs, they won the rolls, and they received their loot. Over time, they acquired a full set. Maybe they had to do 25 runs in a single week, but at least they got their desired piece of armor.

Can the same be said for Coil? No. I have been running Coil 1-4 for over 3 months, and I have 3 armor pieces and 2 accessory pieces, this might be considerably more than some people, I can call myself lucky, while others have been very very lucky and received much more. My last drop was on December 3rd, over a month and a half ago.

Is the CT loot lockout not fair? It seems very fair to me, 1 item per week seems like a great deal.

So worst case scenario: Would you rather do 25 runs in a week for loot? Or wait 3 months? 6 months? A year? For that one drop from Coil.

All I'm saying is, if Coil had a loot system like CT; I'd have my armor set and be very happy. The work and wait would be worth the reward. But for now? The wait is definitely not worth the reward.

I am of the opinion that Coil needs new loot rules. I'm not going to propose options, SE can figure it out, I just want everyone who complains about CT to wake the hell up and realize how good it is.

The only issue I have seen is getting ANY piece to drop for your job. When we ran CT the other day the ONLY gear that dropped after each boss was Monk. WTF?

Loot lockouts would be fine if we could gear all jobs at once.

They would also be fine if there was enough content to explore that the lockout didn't take away much of the reason to play.

Lockouts are fine alone, as artificial ways to elongate a (current) lack of content they are not fine.

They are also not fine if they force you to not make use of a feature the game is supposed to be built around (Armoury).

And then BC dies because everyone is geared and the few who didn't grind it 25 times every week no longer have a real shot at getting it.

I'm complaining about CT loot lockout due to the fact that it's so difficult to get i80 armor. Sure you can only do BC once a week, but that's for the highest tier of gear available. The CT loot seems harder to get than i90 gear (BC loot and mythos gear) which just doesn't make sense. You can almost definitely get i90 gear with less effort and time compared to i80.

Don't get me wrong I do see the pros of the CT loot lockout but I still don't like it. I've been grinding my ass off for just one piece of i80 gear (bard chest) for the last 3 weeks. It has a 1/13 chance of dropping if I'm not mistaken. I'm probably gonna get the i90 chest now because I've grinded enough mythos running CT for thos 3 weeks.

how is the drop rate figured? we have a high population of Dragoons and Bards and that appears to be all that ever drops in CT.....always bard or dragoon stuff. so much gear gets abandoned and we are constantly having to spam CT hoping to find gear, meanwhile dealing with people who can't seem to cooperate and/or trolls and still not seeing gear for other classes....for the one that just finds monk gear, i need to do runs with you to get the rest of mine. lol

My only complaint about the lockout was getting stuck with stuff you don't need. At least in coil you can get the best gear for another class, even if you can't use, and still continue and get another piece later. Hell you could 4 pieces in a row in 1 week. That's nowhere near possible with CT. They are just totally different systems. The nice thing about CT is being able to run it over and over until you get what your looking for, but that's also the horrible thing about, running it over and over again lol

No possible way man. I've been doing BC for almost four months, and i've only got 4 pieces of allagan to show for all that time. I'm i90 now solely due to myth and that took months as well. I can get every i90 piece in a month and a half guaranteed. There is no way to myth to i90 in that time, and getting all the allagan in that time would be exceptionally lucky. CT gears fast enough.

And this addresses gearing up the other 8 jobs within a year when it'll be largely obsolete how, exactly?

I'm almost willing to bet I'd see that one piece of gear I need for my main class from Coil (not to mention all the alt class gear I can get) before 45 weeks go by before getting everything possible out of CT.

And that is when your Bard Chest will magically drop... :(

you're missing the point of the ct lock out complaints. I'm better off if I have 8 characters at level 50, than one character with 8 level 50s. that completely defeats the purpose of "doing it all on one char"

ct lockouts need to be limited by class, not character.

Both lockouts are bad.

Im in the same boat for the pld body. Just gunna get the myth gear

I wore myth boots for exactly 1 fight before allagan ones dropped -.-

After seeing the ways both lockout works I actually perfer the CT lockout vs the Coil one. I always get a drop from CT every week, but not in coil.

Yeah I actually like CT better for that. Sure you could get most of a set in one week in coil... chances are that wont happen. After months of farming coil I don't have helm, gloves, or boots. Not counting body because its t5. The bards in my group had it even worse... 4 months of coil before we saw and left side bard drops. 4 months.... no helm, boots, gloves, belt, body, legs... nothing... 4 months.

CT loot system is awesome compared to that imo.

If it is allowed to get 1 item/week each class, then there would be already players who would have all CT gears and would never go in CT again until 2.3

I'll take CT lockout over Coil lockout. PUGing CT is so much easier than PUGing Coil, though I haven't been in CT since the "vote abandon" feature, so don't know what CT is like now. I was fortunate (rare) to get my wanted CT drop on Monday

Yea, I will take CT loot lock out over coil lock out.

Been about 2 months of doing coils and I only have 2 pieces of coil loot T1-T2 for first 2 weeks or so then T1-4 for the rest.

Yesterday was the first time in 4 or 5 weeks that I saw tank gear drop but lost roll on it. T_T

Ive run CT 3 times and only killed first boss . PLD belt and gloves dropped , and BRD boots . Left after I got the items since it seems a waste of a spot for me to carry on after getting weekly item.

Well since you are so keen on leaving when you get what you want you got your items so please leave the game.

I want the chance to dress up all my lv 50 classes. I have three classes to 50 and need gear for all of them. Why give us the option to level so many classes and then limit us artificially by only allowing us to gear up one at a time...if at all. Make the loot lock out job specific not char specific. At this rate, I will have gear for all my classes in a bout 3 - 4 months...that is a bit over the top I would say and is actually a thing that might break the game for me >_>

CT's loot system is garbage and so is Coil's. They should both drop tokens that you turn in to an NPC for a class appropriate piece. That was one of the best things that WoW ever did.
