Rested Bonus EXP question.

Does anyone know how much you get per say hour of rest and what the cap is? I know the bonus can last for many levels near 50.

No one knows?

I'm not too sure, but I think that 24 hours of being in a sanctuary translates to 1 level's worth of rested xp. I don't know if there's a cap on rested, but if there is, it's ridiculously high.

It has to be an absurd amount because I have had enough rest to get me through 40-50 on one character, 1-15 on two, and up to 25 on another. I was only gone for roughly a month though I did stay in a town while I was away from the game.

Looking more for an amount VS 1 levels worth of EXP but thanks.

I know you get 50% bonus but wanting to know how much EXP you get from the bonus... Like 1hr of rested EXP is 5k bonus EXP something like that.

Because we can freely switch classes, rested xp is gained by a percentage of the xp bar, rather than a fixed amount. As such, it'll be more effective on a high-level class than a low-level class.

Exactly what gamesmart said. Easy way to verify is to use rested exp on a level 40+ class vs. level 1 class. You'll use up all your rested exp in no time on the level 1.

As for the cap, I don't think anyone knows for certain, or if they do, google isn't saying. Is there even a reliable way to measure that?

It's hard to measure because so many things aren't effected by rested exp. FATES, quests, leve turn-ins, etc. Basically it's for exp from killing mobs only.

As such, you could have just over 1 levels worth of rested exp and still go from 40-50 without seeing the bar drop, because you might not actually be using it.

I recall an official source saying the cap is one week of resting. Iirc it was one of the beta manuals, so that could easily have changed since then.

The bonus is independent of level; it is percentage based. You will get the same amount of EXP (as a percentage of TNL) whether you are level 1 or level 50. I believe you can accumulate up to 2 levels' worth of rested bonus (meaning, gain 2 levels worth of bonus exp- since you get 50% bonus EXP, you would gain 6 levels in the time normally taken to gain 4)

Upon entering a "sanctuary," such as an inn room or aetheryte camp, this icon will appear to the right of your experience bar, indicating that you are currently accruing a rested bonus.
Experience Bar Color Yellow: Normal Blue: Rested bonus accrued Red: Rested bonus accrued beyond current level

Rested XP is % of level. I've been told you max at 2 "free" levels worth. This XP didn't get counted with quest XP although it DOES work with daily dungeon finder stuff. It shows up as +50% XP for you, which stacks with the 50% from armory chest, any XP from scrolls for crafting/gathering and bonus XP from making/gathering quality products.

so all that.. it is really hard to say exactly how much you'll get from it.

mmm Really hope so is not caped and is exp points (not % based) and we are only using cap 50% bonus when gain exp from mobs.
What happened with all the exp gained after reach lvl 50? Still hopefull this is not lost exp and is acumulated to spend on other not caped class... and how working this too...

Rested xp only gets consumed if you actually gain experience, so it won't be used at all on a level 50.

Is there a difference between the rested bonus gained by staying in a sanctuary/town versus sleeping at an inn? If so does it stack?

Did a little test this morning, Have to try it with a lower level job and see if its the same. But 1hr is like 4750 extra EXP but that is level 44.

You dont' really get that much rested exp. Battle classes just don't use it very fast.

DoH and DoL eat rested exp FAST.
