Ex Mode Garuda Issue, Hope it is not an ongoing Trend

We have cleared Garuda EX several times, most of my FC group has their ring already, just wanted to make that clear up front. So, last night we go in and I die at the first bubble after spiney plume. I saw myself inside the bubble, but ok I can make a mistake. Second try everything is going fine, we get to the second spiney, beat chirada and supurna and spiney, bubble pops, we are ALL inside and we all die. Hmm, very strange.
We leave that instance and queue again. Bard is seeing some rubber banding, but I am not seeing any sort of lag at all. We get to the second spiney bubble and again, 3 of us go down INSIDE the bubble. We give it another try and at the same bubble the whm and myself again die INSIDE the bubble. The only thing outside was my garuda egi. I hope this is was just a bad night, server lag, whatever and not a sign of a trend with the fight. Just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this.

I believe 2 days ago we had this on titan. Hard and extreme. Lots of people died from plumes. 2 of us ate some landslides though we both thought we were out. Next day was fine again... dunno what it was.

Yeah, seen it a few times. Usually it's either because the group kills the spiney just a bit too late so there isn't enough time to get the protective buff from the bubble before Garuda reappears. Or someone dies in the bubble because they simply entered a bit too late (were in but didn't get the status). Very annoying.

The bubble isnt what saves you, its the buff, and the buff appears to be on a tick like regen/medica2 so you can go a fair while without getting it

Not so arrogant that I can't learn something new. Thanks for the spiney tip, I knew about the buff, just didn't connect the dots. Plus we were running with a new dps, our regular dps had to tank. Much can be said for the synergy of a static group.

Run in as soon as the red circle disappears, don't wait for the spiny plume's explosion animation to go off.

What they said, plus it should be brought to 20%ish HP before the transition so it goes down half a second after Garuda hops.

Our group has done this fight probably 20 times, and this was the first problem of this kind we have had. Seems like server timing was off or something, started to remind me of Titan HM plumes. See yourself out of stuff but still in it.

The bug where Garuda will sometimes (very rarely) not be visible to someone still occurs. The fight continues as normal, but Garuda's model isn't visible. It happened to me before, and it happened to our tank the other day -- awkward!

The game has a a long delay to when it registers you standing in the plume and giving you the buff. Same issue occurs with sacred soil there is about 1-2 sec delay before it shows up as a buff. The solution is to kill the spiny plume 1-2 secs faster then you have been doing.

The best way to do it is to get the plume very low on hp 1 hit away from death usually the off tank can do this so when she jumps 1 hit from any dps can kill it. Its usually groups that leave the plume at high HP when they need to kill it have the issue with people not getting the buff.

Defensive status effects always take a second or two to actually apply. If you notice, when entering the Thermal High zone, you won't actually get the Thermal High buff for about 1-2 seconds. All defensive abilities and effects "work" this way. And by work I mean totally not working because these things should take effect immediately.
