We need AE StoneSkin badly !!

Ｍy Main is a WHM , and I like this job very much .

Before every raid or dungeon start , ppls always ask StoneSkin.

It is very ok to cast Stoneskin , but need to cast 4 times, waste everyone's time!

If joine a raid, each time wipe also need to wait recast StoneSkin (very troublesome).

I strongly suggest SE just make StoneSkin like Protect ,become AE style.

If SE afraid AE StoneSkin will become another heal skill in battle , that's fine , maybe

Just increase another AE StoneSkin only can cast without Battle .

Anyway , We need AE stoneskin badly , it is a very pain to cast so many Stoneskin

Just make it out of combat only and it can't be abused.

macros could help meanwhile.

One click should be enough for any party of 4 or 8 (I believe it s 15 lines the limitation for macros, if less then you would need 2)

With the coming changes to /wait command it will be like below so should be only one click (check dev post if you haven't read)
/ac Stoneskin <p1> <wait.3>
/ac Stoneskin <p2> <wait.3>
...

still takes time 3*4=12seconds or 3*8=24seconds

I know that humans find anything that lasts more than 1s too long tho :)

Maybe higher lvl traits will unlock the most wanted AoE stoneskin, but it is not gamebreaking as it is. Annoying yes.

A new trait for whm, when cast out of combat, stoneskin is applied for all allies next to the target.

in 1.0 it could only be done on a skill, the skill could AOE any buff. something like this would be good on a long timer like 5 mins.

I wouldn't waste that cooldown before a fight to buff people.
I would stoneskin each guy one by one.

yea most would do the same, hence the reason the op said that SE could make it outside of battle only to prevent people swift casting it in battle and dropping a raid wide stone skin on the party (making it very OP in combination with SCH shields)

I agree also SE should consider this idea it would make stone skin buffing the party before pull as simple as a quick succor buff!

I'd only want this if Stone Skin became a targeted AoE and not just a party-wide buff like Protect. Otherwise we'd lose the ability to cast Stone Skin on people who aren't partied with us, which can be useful, or at least fun, for FATEs and drive-by newbie rescues.

I think Stoneskin should stay single target only.

However, what I think they could do is give us something like Scholar's stratagem Accession in FFXI (or make it for ACN/CNJ but also available for cross class). The ability makes the next spell AoE. Sounds a bit overpowered, but it would be useful in hastening the start of a dungeon/fight, and can potentially save your party from a wipe if used at the right time. It would, of course, be one of those last resort spells with a long ass recast time and probably at half effectiveness so it's not too cheap. Just a thought.

Or they should give WHM Afflatus Solace from FFXI. Cure gives a slight Stoneskin affect for 25% of the cure amount = cureskin! Would have to be less (like 10% or less) since we easily can cure 1 for like 1k+ hp though. 250 buffer for each cure? Now THAT would be overpowered.

OP's not asking for AoE SS during battle. OP just wants a massive Quality of Life improvement: AoE Stoneskin outside of battle, to save time during the beginning of the raid.

Yes, it takes only 24 seconds. Now multiply that number by the number of raids that asks for raid-wide SS which itself is first multiplied by the number of wipes that raid suffers.

Literally hours are spent to SS the whole raid. Allow SS to be AoE outside combat, that's something everybody can agree

I totally agree with AE stoneskin only out of combat. Solely to have a quicker go, nothing more. I do think it would be overpowered when doing speedruns. You could then cast it again when one pack is down and have stoneskin up before pulling the next pack.. So it needs some tweaking other than "only usable out of combat". But yeah, give us something SE!

I see one of these threads everyday. Do people not check the forums for similar posts before creating a new one?

I know- lets do it the SE way and make you grind/quest to get it! Then it will fall in line with everything else in this game. I would also prefer to be able to buff people when theyre in a group irregardless of a cutscene.
