Personal housing price specuation

How much do you think it will cost to buy a personal house when they come out? If I had to guess something around 10m or so? What do you guys think?

Everyone will think it's going to be less than FC housing then it turns out to be 100 billion gil.

I'm only concerned at how small they will be, they seem to think a small FC house that's no larger than our inn room is enough for multiple human beings. I'd hate to imagine what they think a single person could manage with.

If SE insists on using averages instead of medians, expect many millions of gil.

10 million @50% on a small house. might be more.

if they cant support FC's because the areas might fill up how are they going to suppot each person.

The free company small houses aren't much more than that, so I would hope a personal house would be significantly less than 10 million.

I hope we all get our own free house as part of the game. That's how XI did it, and that's how I want to do it.

I don't imagine personal housing to be all that expensive. Because it's supposed to be something for everyone.

What I don't understand is if they can't host enough housing to meet FC demand (hence the pricing) then how will they be able to accommodate personal housing? Will it work differently to how FC housing is implemented?

Probably be done like the inn room client side room.

Well for starters we know for a fact it will be MUCH cheaper then FC housing (they already stated this) so I would say AT MOST probably 1 mil.

Small 3~5 millions.
Medium 8~12 millions.
Big 18~20 millions.

Personal housing will be cheaper than Guild Housing, of course, keeping proportions. And BTW, Big house will be like medium guild house. Look forward to it.

Honestly, when it comes to my server (Leviathan), I think this is gonna be really close. Assuming there are gonna be only three tiers, and the actual size is similar, the S might be a little cheaper than 3mil. The goal was to have it be affordable, which sounds to me to be along 2mil or so. The rest seems to be fairly plausible. Again, this is just my guess for servers like Leviathan.

Easy! 625k for a large one! Who knows what the prices might be. Probably in the millions I would think.

One of the reasons they are so high now is because se can't handle the load, the high prices is to discourage people from buying.

They wont want rich people to buy it all up so they'll make it so only rich people can afford it, just not all at once.

I can't donate to my FC housing because the prices where so stupid it's not worth me spending millions of my own gil on other people knowing at any moment I could get kicked out of the FC. That isn't going to happen. But my FC is just random people I met in FFXIV. I have no clue how long they are going to play, or anything. So I donate a little gil here and there. But I would sooner get a house with my hubby that way it's ours if we quit it's our own issue.

I already see a special only 1 house per person limit once Personal Housing is out.

And then the rich will scream for that limit to be removed because we all know the Elite members of the community hate limits.

... That 2 million is affordable to you boggles my mind.

According to my very accurate and totally not partial observations, and based on Squee having said that the smalles house would cost aproximately as much money as you would make by levelling 3 classes up to 50, and that the 3 characters I levelled up to 50 arrived at that level with 250k gil in their purses, I have to conclude that the smalles house will cost 750k at least. It would be more realisitic to say it will cost 1 million, though. And this is not considering Squee might try to have ridicolously huge prices again so their hamster-powered servers don't run out of space.

They didn't say anything about it being 2.2. Hell i'd be surprised if it's implemented before the 1st expansion.

So it should be in 2.3, not in 2.2

Again Something as a "niche" that alot of people want Housing should be affordable to most who work hard for it! Not some far fetched pricing like 20 mil for a Medium house!

Can you guys imagine how many FATEs the quest to unlock personal housing will have? Probably at least 20.

They're just gonna hollow out a tree in the Black Shroud and sell it as premium real estate.

Sadly for you all, any house size will work with lalafells.

Although I don't think they made the bathtub with lalafells in mind.

945, 999, 999g for the cheapest house is my best guess. They want fewer than 5 per year to ease the stress on their servers.
Cause you know they don't feel lucky about getting better equipment from their cracker jack RNG luck. Maybe they will find some kid meals and find something that can handle 15 house so the pricing will drop by 66%..... Seriously after fc pricing I have zero confidence in their ability to zone in any item with fair pricing.

Why is everyone hung up on the price?

What I would like to know is what is the housing going to be good for?

By the time it's out everyone's crafting will already be at 50 and it's not like crafting itself zaps you up in levels. It's the leves that make getting to 50 a cakewalk already. Getting an exp boost hardly matters.
Will housing increase my inventory somehow?
Is there a gardening system that gives us new consumables in battles?
Does the furniture grant field effects or affect the dungeons(as fields really aren't the focus of this game)?
What does the housing DO?!

These are the questions I'd like to be answered first before I even begin to care about being able to afford a house.
