Ending fanfare.. this aspect has been bugging me for some time.

When you complete an instance dungeon and the party does their celebratory poses, your PC does not pose with them. Instead your PC does a pose after everyone's done theirs..

It comes off as like you're a little slow. "Oh yeah we won! .... Guys? Oh? Oh.. You already beat me to it."

I don't see why our animation has to lag behind the rest of the party in those particular cutscenes. In every other FF, when the party wins the fight they all pose together with the fanfare. Why is this ...not this way in this game? It's been bugging me for some time. Please fix this. Thank you.

But it is something that should be corrected. Shouldn't be that difficult.

Probably has something to do with a lot of the game being character-centric, despite the fact it's actually an MMO. They want to put focus on your char at the end of the fanfare celebrating. That's my reasoning on it at least.

The real issue is that everyone isn't throwing their arms up in the air in a continuous loop whilst experience point gains and item drops appear in an overhead text box.

Yep, that's exactly what it is. The entire game is written from the viewpoint of your own character. Even in cut scenes, you are the only one addressed directly while your party members are just paid extras to hang out in the background. Victory cut scenes are the same way, it's "all about you", even though you didn't get to the end alone.

I think the following could be introduced to break up the 'generic' looking victory CS:

-Other PC's giving each other high fives
-New 'cheer' or 'joy' emotes
-New emote SPECIFICALLY for Duty Complete! CS, like fistpump or something like that
-Party members in the background sharing celebratory... emotes, like hugs or something

I'm grasping at straws here. I understand the delay sort of, it's your character just kind of I guess being 'relieved to clear' and THEN 'cheering' but a nice shocked look on your face or something would just break up the simplicity of it.

It's nothing ESSENTIAL to the game but it would be cool. :P

Reason behind this is most likely to make an effect that puts focus on your character. That is what I experience this has done to me.

Wait, you mean I wasn't really the leader of the assault on CM and ultima!?!?!?

Try zooming your camera out.

I think, as others have said, it is a way to make you the star, it is centered on you (each one sees himself), like the storyline, you are the hero.

That makes sense for the main story and other questlines, sure. But for something like a dungeon, where obviously you are with a group of other players in order to complete it, the victory fanfare should all go off for everyone at the same time.

Honestly, it looks really dumb that you do your emote several seconds after the rest of the group has done theirs and the fanfare music is already over.

Whether or not you are 'the star' doesn't/shouldn't matter for these scenes. After all, they are brief and not even story related. It's just the, "Yay you completed the dungeon!" victory fanfare. Everyone should be posing at the same time here. It would certainly feel more like Final Fantasy if it was corrected.

It defiantly takes away an opportunity to get great group screen shots :o

It is for focus on your character being the leader of the group (supposedly). I think its effect largely depends on the particular animation of your character.

For example, the Female Miquote /joy motion when done after the fact, does make the character look a bit daft (imo).

On the other hand, when my Fem Roe doe her /joy motion after the fact, it makes her look like a confidant leader who celebrates only after a short moment of contemplation or self reflection.

The more quick and eccentric the reaction the worse it probably fits. The more subtle and stoic, the better it fits.
