We're pleased to announce the next Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XII focusing on the many exciting updates coming with Patch 2.2! This next Live Letter will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2014, from 4:00 a.m. (PST) / 12:00 (GMT)!

In this thread we'd like you to specifically pose questions regarding the upcoming addition of the Ruins of Amdapor. In addition to collecting your questions in real-time via Twitter, we will also use this thread to gather your questions ahead of time and answer them during the event.

What sort of drops can we expect from Ruins of Amdapor, ilevel wise?

Will Ruins of Amdapor be mandatory for story progression, or will it be another completely optional dungeon?

Will the dungeon have any incentive to repeat or be done once and forgotten like Pharos and the 2 hard modes?

What kind of lockout can we expect?

4 man or 8 man dungeon?

Can we expect to see any new classes/jobs in 2.2?

Can we expect small houses to become actual houses? As in, are you going to add a basement and/or second floor to small houses to make them worth the gil instead of punishing small guilds that can't afford a medium-large sized house? P.S. small houses arent "houses". They're more like a jail cell ( one single room ). Thanks.

Will this be a single dungeon, like Crystal Tower? Or a series of sprawling dungeons that you complete to get access to an End Boss with Rare Items?

Is this dungeon going to be related to Amdapor Keep somehow (besides in name, of course)? Will we learn a bit more backstory/lore about the Keep/Ruins?

what kind of theme (enemies) can we expect from the ruins?

Are there new armor designs from this dungeon (assuming it's a dungeon), and can you show us some of them?

Will this dungeon be a stepping stone in the next stage of Relic upgrades?

Will this be where we find out what happened to the Amdapor civilization?

will there be any incentive to run this instance other than just tome farming?

will the dungeon drop any new gear? or will it be the same stuff as AK/WP/PS and so forth?

Will this be made to have a difficult challenge (such as people in high iLevel gear should be the people doing it) or something to add variety in the 'easier' dungeon pools for random queuing?

What will be the iLv needed to get into this dungeon?

How many Mytho and Philostones will drop from this dungeon?

Will there be any reason for iLv90's to even consider this dungeon or will it be another Pharos Sirius type of dungeon?

Will we see classic Final Fantasy enemies in the dungeon, similarly to how Siren was the boss in Pharos Sirius? Will Ruins of Amdapor be a continuation of the storyline in Amdapor Keep?

Will the dungeon feature new music in the same way the hard mode dungeons did?

Will this dungeon be needed to unlock something and/or will it drop high tier gear?

Do you need this dungeon now for Relic+2 ?

Will there be a sufficient amount of lore behind the Ruins of Amdapor through the story? Or will its introduction be similar to that of Pharos Sirius: just explain what it is and that it needs to be stopped?

We will know more about 'Lambs of Dalamund' on Ruins of Amdapor?

Are we only getting one new dungeon outside of Coil update in 2.3? If so, how are you going to keep the game from being boring after the first week of release? People are getting tired of doing the same duty over and over. There needs to be more open world content outside of quests, leve quests, and Grand company missions.

In terms of difficulty, can we expect this dungeon to replace Pharos Sirius as the "hardest dungeon"? If so would that be a result of the difficultly of PS being decreased (such as enemies having less health and do less damage) or would Ruins of Amdapor offer a proper challenge?

If a new currency is added in the next patch(similar to Tomestones of Philosophy and Mythology) will this dungeon or any other lv50 Dungeon reward players with this currency?

Will enemies from Amdapor Keep return in some way? For example a boss fight against two Demon Walls instead of one.

What will the item level of the loot be?

Will this be located in a pre-existing area in The Black Shroud or will a new area be made like for the Crystal Tower?

Ruins of Amdapor is located southwest of Camp Tranquil in South Shroud...
The entrance is guarded by ghosts.

Is "The Ruins of Amdapor" going to be inside the giant tree stump near Camp Tranquil? That door has been there since BETA and still nothing has been done with it. Also it DOES say "Ruins of Amdapor" on the map. So here's to hoping! Can't wait to see what exciting adventure we will go on this time!

Will there be vanity for 2.2? We realize you're huge Star Wars fans, but I'm a little tired of "The Attack of the Clones".

Will there be alternative methods to leveling? The current leveling system is a bit dry, I can't tell you how many times I've done the same FATES and Dungeons. I would like to party up with some people, set up camp in the wilderness, and kill the spawning mobs. The current system doesn't teach you how to be in a party of 8 until you're level fifty and battling primals.
