Blacklisting someone should prevent them from being grouped in the Duty Finder

If I blacklist someone, it means I do not want to play with them. Why can I still end up being queued with them in the Duty Finder? This seems like a pretty big oversight in my opinion.

Also, before anyone brings up "technical limitations," World of Warcraft has had this functionality for several years so that's a pretty poor excuse.

ps3.....limitation? O_o I would like to know this to, really doesn't make sense.

Same can be said to Duty Finder tell and game network code, but you know...

Yeah, this has happened to me a couple of time. And its the same mouthy obnoxius PLD every time. What is the point of blacklisting someone if youre gonna meet them in instances anyway?

I have never been placed with someone on my blacklist. I wonder what happened with the code behind the scenes that allowed you to be placed with someone on your blacklist. Perhaps double check your blacklist to be certain that they are definitely on there.

The only other thing you can do is report the bug to Square in game on on here. Complaining about it on the general forums would probably not get the action you wish to fix this problem.

At one point i thought it did do this, but then it turns out it isn't the case. I was hoping that blacklisting the pvp bots on my server would keep them from being matched with me but nope, doesn't work.

Doubt it, something like this is entirely server-side and I doubt the actual servers are running on ps3s :P

You're expecting too much.

In the game you mentioned there was also cross server black list and you can still send people tells while in instances. You can't compare the two they are different games.

You can compare, it's just that one game compares very, very poorly to the other in terms of network architecture which is rather depressing.
