questions of free trial

i bught a ff xiv dvd today and i used my registration code but i cant creat a character becuase i didnt add any

once i click start
it says
proper options must be added to a final fantasy xiv service acoount be fore a character can be created.
how ever, where i can get for Activation my free trial for 30 days ? it's with the ff xiv dvd or i have to get it online ?please link it to me

I belive you're looking for this site. The game is currently free to play for everyone until they say otherwise, so there should be no need to register anything in particular. . .

Once you added a character service account, your trial is activated and you can start playing until the trial period is out and it will get extended until they start to charge you monthly for the game.

(You can cancel it at anytime.)

This is what worked for me- this options may be on the bottom left of the web page: taken from forums.




Go to your square enix account page
Click the tab on the right "select service"- for some regions it is on the bottom left side- no idea why.
Click on "final fantasy 14"
Click on the "options list"
Click on "add new options button" near the top of the screen
Go through the steps and select crysta as a payment option, you will get a 30 day discount which reduces price to 0, that will then open up a character slot in the game and you wont get the error.
Iv'e just worked this out, please spread the word and help other people having trouble get in the game before you dive in yourself.

You register with a click and buy account and your credit card, they will not charge you for anything until Square Enix states that they will be starting to charge players for the game. :)

At least that's what i had to do :o

I'm afraid that you will have to ask her to let you use her credit card information that's needed to register, or someone else who will let you use theirs.

Or you'll have to wait until you turn 18 and can get your own card D:

If you made a click and buy account and registered the credit card with that said account, you should be able to use that information when creating a service account.

If not im sorry I can't do much more to help you :/

i stardy Abroad as international student and she give me her credit card ^

or ? i give u my accunt and u use ur credit card do it form its free anyway

Hope that you can manage to get it to work one way or the other.

Im not sure if you realize that FFxiv is free not just for 30 days but for everyone until further notice because it is a big pile of steaming s**t. That being said i have high hopes of the finished product but i dont see that coming for at least another year.
