Please Make the Game Scary D=

I know i am to provoke /eyerolls when i mention FFXI so just to say i am not asking for an FFXI remake lol..

OP:

Nothing in the game feels scary.. I remember running through areas in FFXI scared that any monster would see me because you were either screwed or had to run like hell.. but now, everything seems a bit... inconvenient at most..

"oh no a lv50 mob aggroed me" -run a few metres- "phew its over"

I am hoping that with future expansions we will get areas that are scary and dangerous

And please, until you do this please remove Heavy from every mob it is so annoying >.<

They should have those floating fuzzy mushrooms in the Slyphlands rarely, randomly bust out as a yovra that kills everyone in sight.

Also it would be nice if they gave the story a darker tone like The Dark Knight type of darker tone.. More shadows and darker theme

I want mobs that require a party/alliance to kill. Not Fate mobs, just regular notorious monsters that would randomly spawn, roam around and are impossible to solo and gave generous rewards upon defeat. I'm sick of punching and stabbing everything in a few hits.

Yes.

The game should be darkness and death, and emo and full of shadows and mature themes.

Please make every character smoke cigarettes and swear a lot. Also, topless bars where we can pay to have sex with the women.

I never get a chance to leave the basement in real life and these things would really make me feel alive and like a true badass.

Oh please, this! I mean its a great way to make the community full of warm fuzzies, and apparently, this guy's only chance at anything fuzzy. Can you dig it? LOL!

other FF's the story is always in the dark times where a bad guy want to destroy everything. not like its new.
even the story in this game is like that, but the game it self is empty.
FF7 had that angry guy that wants to shoot all the time and i think he owns a topless bar. FF7 & 8 & 10 had a emo hero FF4 hero kinda emo in his dark knight days.

Yes yes add some rabbits that will kill us if we are not prepared and in a full party , it's not as if we managed to kill gods and ancient deadly machines.

The main story line can get dark at times such as after you kill Ifrit... Or when you are at Coerthas. Also the ACN storyline.

How about the Mimic chests. Try to open it up and get eaten

I would only like that if parties could claim the NMs.

They should just add frightening clowns that randomly jump out and follow you at a distance for a few minutes. One moment he's there, then after you turn your camera and look back, he's not.

They'd lose my subscription if this happens... can't stand creepy clowns. And I do mean that in as most comical, yet possibly serious tone as possible lol.

What if they add random mobs out of nowhere for an example bandit group out of 5 Lv 50 jump you at night.

Be interesting if you kill too many mobs of a type in an area and a boss comes up to play with you.

Open world content and make this shit scary please.

I'm not sure why anyone would long for the days of having to zone to escape mobs in FFXI... that was super annoying. I agree it could be harder and feel a bit more dangerous, maybe tweak how long mobs will follow you for, or the difficulty of the mobs themselves. I'm not against NMs, but I don't think they would do much in terms of making the world a scarier place. All that said, I think it's unlikely we're going to see an increase in difficulty in the open world content.

I remember trying to explore the Earth Shroud back in Open Beta as a level 20 THM; getting past the level 40+ mobs was piss scary when having to repetitively cast Sleep to get past them, especially when nobody had a complete explored map published online at the time and taking a wrong turn spelled certain death, given I'd have to backtrack into now-Sleep-resistant mobs if not run like hell into mobs I'd never have anticipated encountering and having no time to Sleep them.

I reckon throwing in a new zones with mobs at an unattainable level (generally above 50) or with higher stats, with better rewards for fully exploring them would be pretty sweet.
