Legacy to Non-Legacy Transfer

Dear Developers,

These few months has been enjoyable with new content coming in. We really appreciate all the hard work the development team has put in for the game. For that, thank you and looking forward to more!

However, I believe many of us have friends that are playing in Legacy servers who wish to transfer to non-legacy ones. May we know if there are any intention to implement this in the future? If so, when?

I apologize if this has been mentioned elsewhere.

Legacy can't transfer to Non-legacy until further notice.

How long would it take for the economy to stabilize? The game has been out for around 4months. There are a lot of people out there who wouldn't mind giving up their gils so that they can transfer to their friend's server.

I agree! It's been 4 months. Judging from housing prices, I believe they are trying to balance out the economy between the servers.

That and you can only take 3m even if you transfer to other legacy world. So i don't see why they can't open them up.

Exactly. Assuming every legacy character is transferring over to non-legacy with 3m gil at the moment, I don't think it will really affect much anyway. The market is already bad as it is.

Currently, it's not possible. Once you transfer to a legacy server, you can only transfer to another legacy server. :)

Its absurd.. with the difficulty changes in the game you could achieve in 3 months now what would have taken in 3 years on 1.0. There is no need for this.

I can understand them wanting to stop Legacy players from changing to non legacy worlds untill the economy becomes a bit closer to ours but I will never understand or agree with them taking our hard earned gil away and only leaving us with 3mil if we transfer, I find that to be complete ass.

I started ARR with only 9 mil after having 90mil in the old game and I actually wanted to transfer servers to play with more English speakers because I'm in a JP server, yet I have 10mil now and would have to throw away 7mil->70mil, just to transfer.

Seems a bit steep SE, I mine as well not have the option at all with a stupid service like that.

Yep, they coud make an option for people on that situation.

Something like, "you can transfer with 0 gill and all your items become attached to your account and can't sell them in the market".

That way people will be able to transfer and won't be a problem for the economy of the new server.

I would be really happy if they give us some kind of option. Instead of leaving us with no options

I thought YoshiP already said that you could transfer once the Legacy server house prices drop down to the next pricing bracket? Which should be around march.

i think we should have a free transfer period when the legacy -> non-legacy transfer begins. Since when we had a free transfer period, we couldn't transfer to a non-legacy server.

You'd be throwing away 8.8mil, since you can only transfer with 1.2m.

Where are you guys getting this 3 million gil number from? Free transfers let you move 5 million.
