Why do so many people complain on the forums about the game despite having sunk so much time into it? And by complain I mean the useless blame company of failing without any proper critique or constructive feedback. The mmo's genre in general not just Final Fantasy is plagued by so much complaining of this sort it's insane. You get a game, get to end game, do end game, and then complain about everything in game, yet you continue to play said game, this is what I see in almost every game forum that exists that I've ever played.

As far as I'm concerned, if you buy a game and like it enough to get to the end and do end game content, you have no right to complain because you got some gaming experience. The company won't change every miniscule things just for us, it's their vision of what's a good game and it's their business. this goes for every game out there.

People complain about not being enough content, ALWAYS lol. Dudes! A game can only have so much in it, don't expect to play it 24/7 everyday and make it your only thing in life. And then when they add content half the people say it sucks.

People complain and rage like lunatics about other peoples gameplay performance in dungeons, bosses, pvp, etc. Come on, not everyone plays the same, just like not everyone is a football star or a math genius. Have courtesy for all players, no?

People complain about everything they can lol. Just enjoy what the game gives you and stay away from things you don't like in it.

Those of us who don't complain simply don't start threads or rarely visit the forums.

To each their own. If people have more fun being angry and venting on the forums I always find it's good for a laugh.

Complaints let devs know something can be improved on. People complain because they want to see the game be improved. Yes, there are the rage complaints but saying we shouldn't complain is equally stupid.

I understand to point out bugs or make something better, but most of them are just hilarious reasons. I think we as a people are getting more and more stupid each year:/ But that's just my opinion :p

Forums are not the whole community, just try to keep that in mind. Also when a game's community has the ability to communicate with the devs, it encourages people to say what they feel and that is the point I think....to get their opinions into one place where they can see em.

your trying to be funny question is the type of stuff I mean. Not only do we complain in the game forums constantly and whine all the time we do it the same way in each one.

Every game has a forum where there's tons of threads saying this game is dying, devs are morons running this game into the ground etc (this kind of type), yet they all spend every minute of their life in that game anyways.

maybe its a sign that the game is thriving? when people are complaining about the game, most often than not they are still playing the game.

While there are many "rage complaint threads" there are also the threads that are well thought out and address concerns of a part of the player base. There are many things I enjoy about this game. Sadly, there are just as many features I do not enjoy about the game as well because they were implemented poorly. I shouldn't have to avoid parts of the game because the devs didn't think something through. It should be fixed so that there are more options available to the player. Now if its something that is implemented in an awesome fashion and I still don't like it, well that is on me and then I can just avoid it.

Also, your thread is complaining about complainers. =)

Most of the complaints either have constructive or positive undertones.

"Crafting is useless in this game" = "I wish I could use this great crafting system you guys made to maximum effect!"
"This game is too easy" = "I wish this game challenged me harder as I really like the gameplay, but it feels dumbed down"
"Lock outs suck" = "I wish I could play your game more"
"House prices are too high" = "I wish I could hang out with my FC and work together to trick out our house."

I've played 100's of betas and demos and after 5 minutes I deleted them. Why? Because I thought they were terrible. I didn't go on the forums and complain about a game I had 0 interest in. Everyone on this forum loves this game whether they would like to admit it or not. The only thing we are mad about is that there isn't enough for us to play, really. And only Yoshi says anything worthwhile, the other community people just say "at this point we have no plans to fix XYZ"

There is a study where it showed that people complain on forums, review products and that sort of thing, if they only have strong feelings one way or another. People rarely do if they are ambivalent. There is also one showing that less than ten percent of a player base posts or even reads forums. So, take what you read on forums with a view of that.

I agree with what you guys are saying and ofc not all posts are bad. I was just curious as it's the trend I see everywhere about each mmo.

-sink 100 hours into said game
-realize there's nothing left meaningful or fun to do.[this is gonna happen, it's as if ppl expect a game for life or something]
-blame company for wow clone and crappy design
-get new game or cling to this one still mad because nada to do

I love the game. HOWEVER...

I also appreciate the fact that so many players are giving feedback on things to let SE know what is not working. Development team can make assumptions on how the game works only so far without the player's input.
We should allow valid feedback be what it is and not go to 100% defensive mode right away.

Also people complaining about feature please remember to do it in a constructive way.

Whining: Fishing is unbalanced and not rewarding.
Critique: Fishing mechanics are enjoyable but having Red Coral obtainable already at low level doesn't leave much motivation to get Fishing lvl to 50. Can you add something worth fishing to 50 or maybe hike up the item level of Red coral?

Structured complaints are good for the community! If people didn't complain do you think 2.0 ARR would have ever happened? If you buy a product then you have every right to complain!

But you're not a baby. You're a fully grown human being.
Complaining accomplishes nothing, it only makes you look like the person OP said... Someone who has no major issue and just wants to rant.

If you want improvements, make suggestions and explain how they would implement it, as well as highlighting the benefits for this for both player and developer.

You should take your own advice and enjoy the game. The fact you're complaining about complainers means that deep down inside you truly enjoy arguing with people. It's like idiots who read or watch the news - why watch it when it's almost always about bad stuff happening to people?
