Need help with equip macros

Do these still work, or am I doing something wrong? I've searched around and I've copied them letter for letter but they still don't work. Something like /equip body "Royal Vest".

Or is there a way to save gear sets without the weapon so they're not class specific?

Hey there! There aren't any methods of saving gear sets without the weapon, unfortunately, but there are Equip Gear macros!

You can find a list of macros here. Not sure if they work with 2.0 or later, though. But they should work!

I appreciate the attempt at helping, but like I said, I've already looked at resources like that and others and nothing seems to be working, e.g. /equip body "Royal Vest" isn't doing anything.

No, "/equip" no longer exists and there's no way of equipping a single slot. For a working list of 2.1 commands, see:

Looks like you can only switch gear sets now.

No, there is no way of doing this.

Just to toss this out there, it sounds like you are trying to make gear swap macros similar to FFXI?

If so, it's not possible. I believe Yoshi P. even mentioned something about this, (wish I had a reference to the quote somewhere, if I find it I'll add it to this post). Personally, that last thing I want to see implemented, I don't want to carry 3 different sets of gear for one job just so I can get a +1 stat for one spell/action/effect, swap out my gear for another action, swap gear for another action, swap gear for another action, etc.

If not, I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do then. :X

Basically swap costumes on a whim, which gear sets don't let me do due to saving the weapon. ><

you could always just set your weapon to hide in the character menu, that way when its sheathed it wont show

The problem isn't with the weapon showing, it's with being unable to equip armour because of the weapon. Let's say I'm on WHM and I want to change into the santa outfit. I make a gear set. Later, I might be on SCH and I want to change to the same outfit. If I use the gear set I made earlier, it would simply change me to WHM. In order for me to change using gear sets, I would have to create a gear set for every single class I have, otherwise it changes my class or I have to manually re-equip my weapon.

I'm hoping SE is clever enough to add in 2.2 vanity gear sets that are separate from current sets, because the current system is annoying and inefficient.

I don't think SE has thought about this one in much detail, Myself i have a Town Gear armour set, that I'll switch into but I haven't really thought as to why I'd need to switch on a whim for the current job I'm on, its a little thing that no ones that bothered about at the Min,

in FFXI it was easier due to the fact you where tied to a job unless you changed it at a moogle, so removing weapons wouldn't put you in a limbo role, unless they allow us in the future to become an "adventurer" role or something to that extent capped at level 1 when/if we unassigned a weapon, I can't really see much being done about this.

I doubt it would take much to code a gear swap when not in battle for these things, especially for all the RPers out there, it would be probbably something welcomed, I hope they do this for you
