Broken Story Quest: With a Little Elbow Grease

Steps:
1. I talk to Eaduuard, who gives me an object in my inventory to show to Marques
2. I try to talk to Marques, nothing happens. I try to select him and use the item in my inventory, nothing happens.
3. I relog twice. I restart my computer. I try using a controller. It's still broken. I am unable to abandon the quest and pick it up again, as it's a story quest.

I'm also having this problem on Excalibur. Someone even saw me near the NPC, and told me he's been waiting 2 days for it to be fixed as well.

Having same trouble on this server plz fix!

Same server, same NPC. Marques refuses to talk. Quite annoying not being able to progress on alt's MSQ over the weekend.

same problem! And don't tell me to level up in the meantime. I want my dang garuda egi! Which I can't get without beating her. Which I can't do because the dang MSQ is broken!

I have also been stuck on the same quest for the past few days. I have also encountered most of the other players who have replied on this forum.

I am having the same problem the others are having. I know I've seen a few of the previous posters checking up on it whenever I've tried to see if it's working again.

Having the same problem on the same server as the person who started this thread. Been having this problem now for days. Its bullshit that this problem hasn't been taken care of or at least been given a reply. For the fact that it can stop you progressing the story line farther. For 3 days now I can not progress and no I don't want to lvl other classes or lvl my crafting.

There's two reports for this in the Accepted bugs forum. If I try to talk to him on one of my lower level classes (that wouldn't be able to turn in the quest anyway) the pop-up window comes up to choose between the quest, "Small Talk", and "Nothing." but the quest window doesn't come up if I choose the quest option.

This is not the only broken story quest, Road to Redemption is also broken. Bugged story quests are the worst.

Been broken for me for 4 days now on Excalibur as well... awful because we cannot progress in the storyline. Have sent multiple bug reports and contacted support online with no response. :\

Having issues with the Marques NPC... Also does not want to progress main story line. NPC does not accept the bronze hammer

I'm having the exact same problem on my alt character. Come on, SE. I wish you'd fix your stuff.

I just went to check up on the quest. It seems Marques is working again. At least, for me. Try him out for yourselves.
