Please fix this. It is irritating the heck out of me and probably many others in the community. When you were already waiting somewhere with 5mins-30 mins and a que pops up for any instance via Duty Finder. Then you find out you have to wait a good while as the tank withdraws and immediately que up again just to get an instant que. Now you are forced to wait a good while as the douchebag attempts to find a group to do an instance at the last boss with little or no effort? What in the 7 crystals is that??! Total BS. I'd like to get things done, not waste time. As an alternative, can we give penalize people who drop que, or change the que system to place people into groups no matter where they are in the instance? I think it's better to get rid of the que "in progress" via duty finder. It's not working out well for the game. :mad:

Allow me to join a specific group and I will not have to keep spamming to hopefully join my friend's group in progress with the right boss kill count because their last tank rage quits for stupid reasons and leaves them hanging.

We already have 30Min lock out if we leave duty for whatever reason, typically bad mechanics by another.
There are Gear Lock outs, Weekly Lock outs, can't send tell during duty, can't socialize at all during Wolves Den, Can't queue while chocobo is out, can't craft in your Innroom. Please no more Restrictions!!

He didn't "form his own PT" first because he had a friend/FC member who was in a group and had their tank leave. He was trying to queue in progress to help their friend/FC member (not you) finish their dungeon. If he could be invited by his friend/FC member, instead of having to try and queue in progress, he wouldn't need to spam the duty finder.

Why force my friend to wait for an unknown amount of time for an unknown skill of tank when I am right here willing to help?
Not just friends either. I could enter as a dps and the tank can leave. If the group has otherwise worked well together outside of the tank I will offer these complete strangers the option of me leaving, swapping to tank, and re-joining. I know my dps role will fill a heck of a lot quicker than the tank role. I don't think the healer, and especially dps, should have to go back to the end of the line or sit waiting in a dungeon forever.
Yes, I could form a party (PT? Long rant and spelling out party too hard?) with my friend, but that would mean him starting the dungeon over from scratch. Why should he have to?
LordSaviour is right about one thing. These restrictions need to be gone. Why should we be punished when I am here ready and available to help but SE will not let me? -

It wouldn't be hard for SE to make it so that you could invite a person into a dungeon that was in progress. Since Linkshell and Company chat work while in a duty then it would be no problem for them to enable /tells and invites.
If you get a party invite from someone in a duty once you accept just have the commence button pop up with the duty info. -

Duty finder are cross servers, and dungeons have their on servers. SE will need to implant a whole new system for ppl just to invite anyone from any server within the dungeons...

First, If a dungeon has less then 15min left on timer, everyone should drop if they want without the 30min penalty. I joined a group with 10 min left still far from boss and dropped for 30min penalty.
Finale fix, after 15minutes of playing a dungeon with no success(group just isn't working) everyone should be allowed to drop without penalty.
Having a tank and healer jobs, I quickly become frustrated with bad healers(fighter/healers) and bad tanks(flash what's that?)... I can't stand those parties. -

The defense of tank spamming queuing for in-progress is bogus.
So, your tank ragequit and you have a friend who can fill in? How about just run the instance again. Very few of these instances take longer than 30 minutes.
This mechanic is being abused and defeats the purpose of the duty finder. -

Penalties should escalate. First withdraw of the day 30 mins, next one 1 hour, next one 2 hrs, next one 4 hours, etc. This will make it harder for those abusing this.
