Eorzean Horse Lust Abomination

I am unsure where to post this but I felt it must be said, so I am here to fight back and liberate my fellow Eorzeans from this disgusting travesty that has been forced upon us!
I am deeply offended by the quest dialog for the "Havensturn" horse event. It is as though every NPC (or some SE developer) is imposing upon me their sick perverse sexual desire for horses. They speak of me as if I am their disgusting horse idol that they touch themselves too in public and I for one am not amused! I am appalled that this furry fanservice would be forced into a seasonal event! Obscure quests from Galka sheep tenders is where such sick jokes belong.

The "Black Uma Doshin's dialog is particularly disturbing and disgusting! She speaks explicitly and descriptively of my body parts as if they are sexual objects from a horse she lusts for. I am not only sickened by this, but I will also not accept being compared to such an animal, I am a beautiful, refined and adorable Miqo'te! This is creepy and disgusting, please remove it from the game immediately & never try something like this again! I hope whichever developer made this quest line ceases to be indulged by his superiors and peers!

Horses make me very uncomfortable..

I'm not sure if OP is being funny, sarcastic, or serious...

I found the dialog funny, especially how my character reacted to the cultural oddities and obsession.

Some of the dialogue was a little O_o.

This quest line is second only to the Hildibrand chain for making me laugh.

While I also didn't find anything in the Heavensturn questline funny in the slightest (and found some of it a tad bit offensive more than anything), it was still a decent-ish event. But overall, it just bored me. Being compared to a horse was a little creepy, especially when one NPC commented on my "flank shimmering with sweat". Please do not stare at my flank at any time.

Seems someone isn't embracing their inner horse today.

Yeah, I found large chunks of the dialogue in this quest chain to be quite uncomfortable.

I'm really going to have to do this quest later tonight just so I can join in this conversation. In 1.0, Rhoswen threatened to hang me from the frame of her ship "by my manhood" and nobody bat an eyelash. I'll check back in after I've experienced these fetishists (from a safe distance).

If you find a string of harmless words offensive and perverse, you're pretty damned perverted. You have to be to even connect the dots, so really you only have yourself to blame for even finding the issues you have with the dialogue.

I can't tell if the people in this thread are joking or not, and that makes me sad.

People that are so easily bothered by some light-hearted humour are precisely why we don't have enough of it... The quests were bizarre at times but I found them a fantastic change of pace along the same lines as the Hildibrand stuff.

The dialogue is supposed to be ridiculous and double entendre-y. That's what makes it funny... all the words they use are common in descriptions of horses and using it for a person just makes them sound skeevy and hilarious.
If folks are this scandalized by dialogue they haven't been reading what a lot of NPCs have been saying in the game up til now, that's for sure.

What's all this about horses, Doc?

This was probably one of the most amusing seasonal events SE came up with in a while. A special Triple Crown thoroughbred mount would have been nice, though.

~Jah was offended and felt like a mere object.. strewn asunder in some beast of burdenesque tug of war, that was until the [__censored for spoilers__] from Coerthas showed up and offered endless praise. After that it was.. saddle up/best of show! :P

Honestly though, I love the cutscene during seasonal events factor much more than pls ring this bell type quests. I would like to see something like this event but add a dungeon or FATE or free roaming NM too. This event is definitely one of my favorites now.

If Lords Haurchefant and Francel want to make me the meat in an Ishgard sandwich, that's motivation to do these quests right there~ :3

I though this game had a rating.. I believe its rated mature. As in people that can take a joke..

It's actually rated Teen.

And you need to remember not everyone has the same sense of humor. That by no means insinuates people "can't take a joke". People just find different things funny.

How do you miss the giant "T for Teen" rating that splashes up on your screen every time you start the game? >_>

I am the only one strongly dissapointed to not receive horse mount from this event... ??? ...

It does say "sexual themes" under the rating though, so everyone's arguments became invalid. Don't like odd, yet funny, horse lust, then don't play the game :3
