Kicked from Duty Roulette as a tank

So, I figure I would do my service as a tank and join the high lvl Roulette, and also get extra myth tomes for the day to help me cap. So, it popped AK, the MNK was good had myth gear, healer was average about 3000 HP, and the SMN was very newb at 2500 health.


So we run through, clear first boss and trash fine, no wipes ever. Clear to Demon Wall, still no wipes, nothing bad said in chat, very polite.

So the first attempt, Demon Wall, I was parsing, and the MNK did 47% damage, me (Warrior tank) did 33% damage, and the SMN did 20% damage. Near the end of the fight, the bees spawned, and I picked up aggro on all of them, but the healer died to the bee aoe/boss mechanic slow. Then SMN died also from getting hit by the black ground, so me and the MNK were the only ones left and I tanked the bees, popped all my CD's then went to focus the wall, and we got it to about 5% but died.

OK, fine, nothing said in chat, no disrespect, I run back and the SMN has aggrod a pack of mobs on the way back, he summoned Titan egi and I barely got there in time to pull aggro and save him.

Second attempt at Demon Wall, the SMN falls off the cliff from repel (it may be his first time here), the bees spawn and I pick up aggro again immediately (so the healer doesn't have it), and this time I focus on the bees but we quickly die as the healer has a slow debuff and bee aoe is chaotic, I am the last person standing again. On that second attempt, the MNK did 50% of damage, I did 28% and the SMN did 22% (before he fell).

I never commented on anything in chat much, or insulted anyone, berated anyone or even really said anything to call anyone a noob.

Even though I am 8400 HP party/food buffed warrior, I was just trying to get my daily roulette done and definitely did not bring an attitude into the dungeon. Then it hits me "you have been kicked from the party."


Really? I never died to boss mechanics, was last one standing both attempts, did good DPS, kept aggro on bees, and never berated or criticized anyone, but somehow I got a kick?

This is really a discouraging thing that I just wasted almost 30 minutes and now can't even get my daily roulette credit. Is anything going to happen to this people? I put in a report to the support tab, but how can they even determine if the kick was justified? Just from chat logs or something, I really doubt that anything will happen from these people who abuse the kick, since its almost impossible to prove unless a GM is standing there watching. This is a bad environment, and I was one of the people who thought there should be a kick feature since I had people D/C during dungeons and its really a hassle with 3 people and someone just disconnected taking up a slot. But this implementation seems really bad and disappointing ...

Unfortunately, that's how terrible people make themselves feel better. Putting the blame on anyone but themselves to try saving face.

if u havent used defiance in that fight u guys could win

u dont need defiance in that fight btw not with a weakened demon wall unlike he was in 2.0

but the kick i believe wasnt for being bad

it was used so ppl quit without 30 mins DF penalty

i always doing it with runs that got no future tell ppl kick me so we all quit without penalty

If that was the intent, it was really dickish of whoever initiated the vote to not say a single thing about it before doing it.

Mmmmm.. you know... in some ways i really feel bad for people getting kicked. In the other light I just think about those threads before the kick feature coming out saying it would be a horrible idea and just say "I told you so."

should have kicked the monk for not lbing the wall at 5% if there were only two of you left.

Yes the kick was purely to dodge the 30 min debuff, not because of anything towards you as a tank, it was probably the mnk that initiated it, all myth'd n out n shit. The smn and heals dont sound like they have enslaved through dungeons enough to generate that type of motive.

never, I noticed he was a bit new, but I never said much of anything, the healer however was kind of getting on the SMN case, "how can you die to that?" "...." "..." but I was really a neutral party, I understand if you criticize people it can make them play worse, and one of my first characters was SMN in AK, and I was a noob too. I certainly didn't look down on him at all.

he did LB the wall (it was at 5% after his LB) I left that part out just because I forgot to add it in

This is quite possible it. Although I have to wonder why (whoever) chose me, since I certainly was doing my share of the performance I believe.. Also I think it is possible they meant to kick the SMN, (the healer was on his case a lot), and misclicked my name, then everyone just agreed without even thinking to pass it. I am just confused and a little put off by the situation, but I wont judge all runs, this maybe a rare occurance, so I certainly am not giving up on Roulettes (yet!).

Also I should add I have never initiated or agreed to kick anyone in anything, unless they were disconnected/afk

While it is a pretty terrible move on their part to initiate this without discussing it beforehand kicking a tank/healer would be optimal as it does not give you a 30min timer and you can more or less be in another party within seconds/minutes while a DPS will not.

Think of it as a blessing in disguise. They kicked you out of their noob party so you could try the roulette again with better players and avoid the 30 minute penalty! lol!

You can report someone for kicking for no reason. Its against ToS and improper use of vote to kick. I got kicked from a WP run cuz some pld was talking shit about monks since the moment we zoned into dungeon. Ive done wp runs both regular and speed runs plenty of times np on monk so idk what that dude was rambling about... also its wp, not rocket science. People can just be asshats. I got booted for being a MNK and no other reason so. That party got a report made (besides I knew it was the pld...cuz he was one starting stuff anyhow).

Lol this. Yea totally, I got to re-queue in roulette to join up woth ppl who dont start crap b4 dungeon even begins (we didnt even get out of the circle we zone in on b4 he talked down about monks in general).

no you dont, I just had 30 min invested in that run so far and had to start from the beginning.

I thought that's what the "real" hardcore players did to get aroudn lockouts

To prevent kicking like OP situation - SE should add a pop up "window" , soon after player got kicked and loaded in city or w/e he was when proced to dung. So this "window" shows all party member's names , party setup (jobs/class) and 2 choices >accept< (undersand why been kicked : afk/harassement etc) and >report< (if player was kicked w/o listed reason , which kickings i see everyday in dungeons and bosses , (tho i never been kicked even once i saw tonn in CT and Ultima Hm/Primal Ex lols) ). So if player hit accept all good , he understanded etc ( idk what next , just wait next pt or something ) , but if hit report Special blank will appear that already contains all members who voted , player will must to write all happened situation and Gm's can start "pressure" non legit kickers :D

they do, but then again I have about 12-15 chars in total (3 each on my three 'main' servers. 1 for 'serious' play, 2 for goofing around/roleplaying, and then a few on servers friends are on, which I really only play to do lowbie dungeons with them maybe once a week :P)

surely people don't expect me to actually reveal all my characters. hehe

Welcome to vote kick problems. I hear in a 4 person party only 2 people need to vote yes to kick someone. Quite stupid if you ask me.

You can't report people for kicking you.

1. You are lying about your story to cause a troll thread or if you are telling the truth, just requeue again and get your instant pop. You wouldn't have cleared the wall anyway with the baddie.

If u were kicked for an unlisted reason then yes u can.
I reported on my kick last week. I got kicked cuz I was a monk and thats not harassment/afk/cheating etc so not a valid use of vote to kick. The pld did however get a report for harassment for the stuff he said feom the moment we zoned into the dungeon.
So yes if u werent kicked for a reason u can report. Some ppl get kicked for being an asshole in chat - yes u can be kicked for that cuz that would count as harassment
but pretty sure kicking someone on an EASY run like wp just cuz of their job, talking shit about their job then kicking them in the first pull is enough to report someone as thats harassment. And improper use of kick

Good for you for reporting this. SE, if they really are looking into such abuses, has all the tools they need. Were you afk or dc? No. Were you cheating? No. Checking the chat logs, were you engaged in harassing behaviour? I assume not.

People wonder why I stopped bothering with the daily dungeons let alone doing my services as a tank. I got tired of grouping with all the bad players that swore they knew the fights yet seemed to mess up on the simple fights let alone the bosses... =/ I haven't been kicked from a 4 man group yet (though i only do dungeons with my fc so ~shrug). /i was kicked from CT after I said in /a and party chat i needed one moment for an afk because my daughter woke up. I was a DD at that time and we were on the first trash pull I would have been back with plenty of time but waiting or reading chat seems above people anymore as my husband said they asked like 5 times in chat if i was going to move while i was away and then kicked me xP

just have ta ignore the idiots.

never get this at all in my server yet >< i'm sorry it happen to you.
