Think they will rename the game when they get to Final Fantasy 30?

I doubt they will keep the Roman Numerals going when they get there, or someone might "confuse" the game for something else... Especially considering how much "armor" some female characters wear.

lol. I think they will keep the roman numerals. What's sad is how straight I can keep 14 different FF games in my head.

At the rate they're going, with each FF less tied to the tropes and staples of its predecessors, it may very well be an interactive porno.

Chances are SE like many other companies will start to just tack names onto there games instead of numerals.

They will probably start focusing on more sustainable franchise style in the future considering people are harping on them so hard for changing things up in ever game. We will probably see 3-4 "Series" games being developed paralel to eachother in the future.

That is is SE continues to focus on the FF franchise in the future. Hell the above statement has allready happened there are several games revolving around the "Fabulas novas" or whatever collection.

FFXV probably won't have loads of spinoffs because it will be close to the end of the PS3's life and they will be focussing on FXVI for PS4 and announcing the new online FFXVII.

I'd hope by the time FFXXX is released society will have moved on and making an adult themed game won't be seen as such a horror. They could do wonders with technology by then. The characters will look life-like, you'll have 3D and you'll be able to hook some device up to feel the game world. Certainly one for those without girl/boyfriends.

Well the way Square is going the Final Fantasy franchise wont survive long enough to make 30.

I don't think it will make it that far, and if it does you won't be alive to see it most likely. Going by their cycle in the past few years, it's going to take them on average 4 years minimum to release each new main series title in the future. That means it'll be another 64 years or so before we make it to number 30.

We can only hope that by that time permissiveness will have reached the point where a video game simply will not sell unless all characters in it are nude.

I'm actually more afraid of the male characters. You can never know with this franchise....
