Queues are gettin' pretty awful, even as a tank on the primal group. I'm at about 10-20 minutes. (All four languages selected for 40 and 50 solo)
My guess is it's people like me quickly losing interest.
Been playing SCH since the patch hit, still getting instant queues. :)
It could be that people are tired of getting queued up against people who have done 100s or 1000s of matches more than them. Maybe it could be that the grind is too long. I'm including in the group is tired of trying to hit people jumping. Then again, it could just be that the FF community doesn't care about PvP.
Either way, there are some changes that need to be made so it's more accessible to everyone, especially the new guys. How are people supposed to learn how to PvP when their whole team gets burst down by a single rank 30 player or a premade of 3?

This is exactly what I'm talking about. If this guy was on the other team, he would get destroyed because he had zero experience or knowledge of PvP. Not having a ranking is cancerous to having a PvP system.
This is a big reason why people quit queueing.
Honestly I feel like the quickest way to fix this is have either solo que only or 4s. no more premades but we will see what they do in 2.15 since they said they are fixing premade 3s
Something has to be done or PvP won't be an activity that sticks around for very long.
Let me reiterate for those who may have misunderstood me. I'm not upset that I'm getting people on my team that are new. I'm upset that there's is nothing stopping people who want to try PvP or really get into it but they can't because they keep running into people who have spent a ton of time playing PvP leaving them with little to no chance of winning. Killing people in PvP almost effortlessly is fun and sometimes even amusing, but who will be left to play with when mostly everyone quits due to completely unfair advantages?
I actually started to solo que to meet and talk to new people. if they are new I been giving pointers out and giving advice. Its actually fun solo queing meeting people on other servers. Just my opinion. But yes in a few months there wont be a big pvp community unless they combine all data centers for pvp.
I would imagine that they'd have to merge data centers together for PvP in the future for when they implement 8vs8 and battleground PvP because these will require a much larger scale of players to be queueing for it.
Que times are already suffering for this exact reason. Combination of rank/gear advantage + class imbalances is very discouraging... what's the point of queing if there's no chance of winning? Even if I play flawless, how can a rank 18-21 MNK/BRD compete with a rank 30 SMN/BLM? We keep queing as long as there are other teams to fight, but a high ranked caster comp will push every other team out in 1-2 hours or less.
I am getting long queues as well, I feel the pvp was a great attempt, but lacks the sustainment of wanting to play it over and over again. Sitting right at Rank 20 and am feeling the why's to grind to 30.
The PvP in this game is broken and not fun. It's that simple. If I'm going to PvP, I'd rather go back to wow or rift to pvp. Maybe they'll fix the issues with PvP before frontlines come out but something tells me a whole new array of problems are going to arise because they don't have 8-24 man objective type PvP matches to gain feedback from. Arena PvP is entirely different than objective PvP. Oh well... it's just one feature so far that I don't like about 14.
I like solo queuing to meet new people but lately I've had 30min+ waits and it's just not practical :(
