Guild Marks

I would like to know since they are re-doing a lot of the battle skills will guild marks be refunded so that we can respend them?

How is that going to work?

Guild Marks are ridiculously easy to get (for DoW/DoM at least), so I highly doubt there would be refunds of any kind.

Not sure what would constitute a refund, the abilities are being adjusted, not removed. They don't owe us anything remember, as we don't pay for anything yet. I wouldn't expect anything to be refunded while the game is still in this stage. The only thing I would ever imagine them offering for current players is a one time race change, when they add the new ones.

If they were based on stamina....

Although all skills will probably need some fine tuning no matter what with the adjusted battle system.

Not when you fail leves for SP they aren't. :P I cherish my marks.

Well you're making a conscious choice in that circumstance. You know that if you want to cheat the system (really it is an exploit and was not the intent of leves) and get lots of SP, that you won't be getting rewards as a consequence. I do the same thing now that I've bought absolutely everything guild marks can offer on like 4 classes. Even now though, I still go 6/8 for fail/repeat leves and save the last 2 spots for guild mark earnings on whatever class I may be leveling at the time.

I wasn't complaining, really just stating a fact. After 40ish, I generally drop the 30 leves and just stay with 3 or 4 fail leves and pick up 3 to 4 randoms per reset. (I'm not sharing which ones, but suffice to say the extra ones aren't at Broken Water.) This way there is less of a compromise between SP and faction points/marks/gil.

Do people have a problem not buying everything with a DoW job? I'm far from the cap and last time I looked I had over 43k Guild marks and nothing to spend them on.

Yes, nearly all of my LS has trouble getting marks/faction points but it's a conscious decision to go for SP instead.

Nah I'm not judging it. I know it's cheating the system and I didn't write the response with a "LEST YE BE JUDGED!" attitude. It was intended more as a "matter of fact" response. We all know we're cheating but we do it anyway lol

It's not cheating when the devs put in place the necessary code to intentionally fail a leve. I'm just putting their code to use. Until we are no longer able to intentionally abandon leves, doing so is not cheating.

Another on topic question I have:

Are we going to ever see new abilities to purchase with guild marks?

I currently own every single ability and have more than 50k points for all DoW/DoM classes with nothing to spend them on.

(Not bragging, a serious question!)
