High level mobs showing up on road path?

They show up at night. Wait until morning.

they need to add more stuff like this to the game! not remove them like what they did to the Ant Diggers on the road in Thanalan

They removed the diggers? Huh... kinda stop noticing things like that when you teleport everywhere.

Thanks for that heads up, at 6:00AM game time they did despawn.

I found it very odd though, I run through the area more often than most people and I never happened across them. So a heads up to anyone with low leveled jobs, they will make quick work of you!

They dont normally spawn, they just saw you and decided to wait until you fell into their trap so they could eat you. True story.

I think XIV needs more of this

I've come across one of the skeletons once and I almost entirely forgot about the ants until it was mentioned here. They need to stop removing stuff like this from the game and instead add more. The paths and roads are far too safe to travel along and low-mid level aggressive mobs are very uncommon that I actually have to go searching for one in order to know they actually exist.

Most of the time when I run into an aggro mob, it's off on some side path from the main road. Sometimes I'll still see an ant on the sides of Thanalan, and I remember there used to be a hog real close in the next open patch over from Grid's western entrance/exit path.

But wow was that a scary moment for me when I saw those skeletons earlier.
First I was- :/
Then I was- "Ok, cast stoneskin and shock spikes and try to run it!"
Running past first skeleton, first shot took me under half health, saw another skeleton out in the opening where I ran through, managed to lose the skele I had to aggro. Started thinking how many were there? Went into the next path and saw 2 more!
Reaction was- D: I can't run past 2 without dying *teleport*

More unforgiving than a dunes death gauntlet run! At least the gobs gave you a slightly better chance.

Actually, there are some Ants that like to annoy you in Camp Horizon while you are doing A Devilet Inside. :O

This. Even worse is Mosshorn NM in the middle of Nophica Well's leves.
