What do you plan to do while waiting for FFXIV to get updated to it's prime?

Pretty much as the topic says, I'm just curious what you guys will be doing while we all wait in misery for FFXIV to pass through x amount of updates until it is finally in it's prime.

I don't mind starting us off.

I have planned to go hot-air-ballooning around the world probably in a few weeks. I figured I will also have time to pick up a few languages such as Dutch, and Iranian, which I will probably never need (all respect to those awesome places though). After that is all done, I've always wanted to try sand-boarding in the deserts, and being such an accomplished snowboarder, I think I could do quite well. So I might make that into a trip lasting all of Summer of 2012 since I would have just gotten back from my around the globe trip by then.

Hmmm... well, now doubting that FFXIV will be in it's prime by then still I will probably have to think of some other things to do while I wait, so let's hear some suggestions of what you guys will be doing!!!!

Buy a 3DS and play Zelda...

Until Fatigue is taken out: School + League of Legends + Tekken

Once fatigue is gone: Finish weaver + League of Legends + Atlantica + Tekken

Once the new battle system gets here: Grind up THM + League of Legends.

Once new job system gets here: Pick my favorite out the available ones and mess around with it + League of Legends

I was going to go on a hot air ballooning trip and I wanted people to know how rich my parents are so I made a thread on the FFXIV forums to tell everyone under the guise of asking poor people what they're going to be doing.

Watching lost on netflix and... umm... waiting for my new desk!

I male. grunt... Well I never finished the one on the N64.. and I am a sucker for 3D.. even my 73" TV puts out 3D. So this should be a good Zelda experience :D

Loving the crap out of Monster Hunter 3tri online mode.

Taking a summer vacation from art lead job and am probably going to paint fan-art for our last project.

Going to study 500 new kanji and learn more Japanese vocabulary in the process. I'm also taking 3 more Japanese classes during summer to finally get past the basic stuff.

Also finishing Persona 3s hard mode! Babybabybabybabeeehh!!

Those are just placeholders for when I get bored on FFXIV (like every other game. I just can't stand to play X hours)

The goblin has suggested I replay FFVII through IX as I haven't done that in a while.

I'll play FFXI for a bit...

Then I guess I'll play XIII-2...

Then I guess I'll move onto Guild wars 2, Versus XIII and a few others in 2012...

Then perhaps XV in 2013...

Then maybe, JUST MAYBE, XIV in 2014.

Oh but wait, the world ends in 2012, so.. never I guess. I r such a jokr lol.

In answer to OP's question, I'll probably be playing Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition PC when it comes out on Steam in July. Luckily I got my self in to a 4-pack deal with some mates so we all get a discount.

Right now, though, I'm playing Link's Awakening from the Nintendo E-shop on my 3DS and soon I'll be playing OoT 3D.

Finish Chrono Trigger on the DS.

I restarted FFXI with a brand new character.....the game is still awesome

Things I could do before FFXIV is good enough to charge subs for :

1.) Travel Europe on foot.

2.) Watch the first manned mission to Mars.

3.) Discover intelligent life in the universe.

4.) Discover intelligent life on Earth.

5.) Old age.

6.) Discover the meaning of life.

7.) Watch a a billion cosmoses flare into existance, then fade into oblivion. (Extra points for those who get the reference.)

People with the 3DS post up your friend code I'll add ya. I'll be picking up Zelda in a few days as well.

Well I took the time to revisit the last game this happened to me in, Star Trek Online, and finished ranking my engineer to Vice Admiral. The game has come leaps and bounds, but ground combat still destroys it. I hear they're about to patch a completely new combat system in a few weeks. Hmm. Sounds familiar.

After yesterday's dev letter, I went ahead and got Oblivion on Steam. Modding en masse shall begin tonight.

SL and lvl cul and botany to 50.

I'm not really "waiting", just keeping up with it. In a sense, I'm already over the game and playing ones I enjoy instead of grinding crafts and levels for "whenever we get content" like all the other crazy kids. I mean if it does get good, great I'll give it a shot but I just don't see it happening anymore. There are better MMOs coming anyway, I just like to read/post here while I'm at work.

But if you must know, I'm playing tons of Super Street Fighter 4 AE, League of Legends, Tactics Ogre, and some FFXI on the side.
