Mini Games from Final Fantasy past the could/should make it into FFXIV

Final Fantasy V: Piano - Confirmed :) :) :) Kinda ;P
FFXIV Implementation - Simple really, place a piano in Adventure Halls and allow player to sit down and play it. 1-9 would be different notes

Final Fantasy VI: Auction House
FFXIV Implementation - This would basically be a true Auction in the sense that the game would auction off rare items that player bid over.

Final Fantasy VII: Gold Saucer - Confirmed :) :) :)
FFXIV Implementation - Already hinted at by Yoshi-P

Final Fantasy VIII: Triple Triad - Confirmed :) :) :)
FFXIV Implementation - Just develop a card game that two to four player can sit down and play around a table

Final Fantasy IX: Chocobo Hot Cold
FFXIV Implementation - Run around on a Chocobo digging for buried goods with a warmer / colder game

FFX: Blitz Ball
FFXIV Implementation: Perfect for PvP players that want teamwork and objective base content

FFXI: Chocobo Racing - Confirmed :) :) :)
FFXIV Implementation: Instead of being passive, it needs to be active where players control the mount. Maybe add elements of kart racing into it.

FFXII: Hunt Club - Confirmed :) :) :)
FFXIV Implementation: Bounty Board were a party of four or eight will embark to slay a Notorious "Mark".

FFXIII-2: Casino
FFXIV Implementation: People love to gamble in MMO so why not give them what they want lol

FFXIV v1: Parley - Confirmed :) :) :)
FFXIV Implementation: Parley >_>

Parley....First thing that should be implemented.

If they implemented something like Triple triad and Blitzball expecially, i would lose so much time in the game!

They said that they are trying to put a card game in FFXIV but they don't want to copy the ones from FF8 or 9 and they didn't find a good idea for this yet.

Seriously though, I hated Parley in 1.0. It was nothing more than an experiment to allow DotH and DotL to do the main storyline without needing to fight. Naturally, it didn't work as well as it was hoped it would. So I'm glad it was killed off in the Calamity and hopefully never comes back. It was a bane on Eorzea. ;)

As for other minigames - there's already the Platinum Mirage in Ul'dah which is specifically stated as being a casino with a 'very exclusive clientele', so it's possible SE may actually open that up in the future.

From the Top 10 dumbest excuses of SE concerning FFXIV, i would rate this one like 3rd place or sthing.

Lol, I was thinking about this. It doesn't have to be a water sphere but maybe an ancient Nym University sport that used a blitzball. The objective would be to move the ball down field to the other players goal by either pass or running. Toss in some water elements and traps, you have yourself a game.

Why not? If you don't want to play then don't, if others feel that it makes their gaming experience better, let them play a card game! I want mini-games: a card-game, chocobo racing together with breeding, blitzball, chocobo digging, etc. Sounds awesome :)

Necro bump due to Golden Saucer launch just days away. Unless updated list with confirmed, see the devs do listen.

Not something from a past Final Fantasy, but I would like to see a Dance Dance Revolution game at the Golden Saucer. They could add both songs from past Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy XIV. Maybe they could add songs from other Square Enix games aswell.

As for blitz ball I think they could make some unique pvp like content around it but I'm concerned that if they didn't build an AI that it might become unplayable due to not having enough value over regular pvp (or if it has equal or more value then all PvP becomes slower). I would find it interesting to see sports around the world (game world) have an impact in the game though. If people remember from FFXI there was that traveling circus based on who was winning, I could see that being done here for multiple things.

Could make a few contents relevant occasionally in that way. Banners and parade works for winners of all sorts of content, like every other month could be chocobo races - not limited to PvP or blitzball. Reviving and reminding people of content and making the cities feel a bit more alive.

FFIX also had an auction house, not that it matters which number you put by Auction House lol (the game in FFIX was.. not much of a game though, tbh I think jump rope, hot and cold, and that first theater game when thinking about FFIX).

There was that FFVII "Fort Condor" mini game - conquest pinball ish looking layout tower defense hero X siege thing (wc3 games, hopefully people know what i'm referencing). Could use a lot of the assets from the minion game to create siege content reminiscent of that FFVII game (it's half way there to be honest, could even be a variant inside the minion game lol).

Nah looks fine to me. I'll take the necro hit because there are still things I would like to see but it's also shows the community that the Devs look at our feedback and use it.

I would like a mini version of that game that matches lines of cute things and they fall out for a score. It could have little spriggans, little chocobos, etc. Bonus if it doesn't force the character out of the world so you can still interact and do stuff while playing the mini game.
