Now new or slackers people can not finish the fates. For crystal towers since there no reward for people to help them. Simple way of saying it.

Yea pretty much have to gather you're fc to help out, it should have been a uniquely programmed quest in my opinion but there's only a couple of those in the game.

I hadn't bothered opening up CT until the other day. I went to the FATE location, no one was there. I waited about 5 minuted and someone else showed up. We basically duo'd the FATE a good chunk of the way (threw our Chocobos at it and what not too), and then a few other people showed up along the way to help us finish it off.

It's not impossible, it's just not "insta-done-in-0.5-seconds" anymore. If you really need help, you can always use party finder, or ask your FC or LS to assist you.

Do you have to actually "Win" the Fate so to speak, or just participate?

It scales down yes but not to the point of soloable. I tried the Sapsa ones solo and between the trash mobs that spawn with the boss and the agro from surrounding mobs there is no way I would have survived if other players didn't show up about 5 minutes in.

That being said I have just been passing thru working on hunting logs and what not and have seen ppl trying to solo or duo them and always stop to help them out.

I soloed all the FATEs as BRD with chocobo... I don't see what the problem is. Takes a little while, but not hard at all.

Less convenient because you missed the initial rush of players? Yes, just like everything else in any MMO, if you're not with the frontier then you will have a harder time getting things done. This is true in every MMO. If you're starting a week late, a month late, or a year late, be prepared for less people available to help you with quests, FATEs, dungeons, or raids.

Impossible to do? No. These FATEs are still incredibly easy. Not hard to set up a group in Party Finder or to ask friends to help you. Its an MMO, make friends.

You need to win AND get at least silver.

My friend logged on to do them one day, I went along to help and we arrived at the Thanalan one with 2 mins to spare. 100% hp only us there. We got it down as far as we could, we both got gold but it didn't count for him.

I have all but one done, been a hectic holiday season, hoping me as pld my healer bird and a buddy of mine can take it down.

I duoed the one FATE in the gobold mine with someone else. I was monk, he was gladiator, we both defeted the FATE boss and got gold.

EXP, GC seals and a handfull of gil

This, or even asking in shout works pretty well. People are usually willing to help if they know you need help :)

chocobo healer works wonders.

solo easily on tank

If you can get a summoner to help you, he/she can tank the fate boss with the tank pet and heal the pet occasionally, while also doing dps. Worked for me as a summoner and I did almost a whole fate by myself :P

Did it on my alt summoner last night, did have some help but it is soloable just takes time. However, I do expect SE to nerf the boss mob most likely next update due to the lack of players now needing to do it.

A FATE's difficulty will now be determined by the number of players who participated in the previous (FATE)

IE: if you were the only player who particpated in the FATE, it will pop at a difficulty lvl for ONE PLAYER the next time it pops...so stick around for the next pop and you will be able to solo it
