Who here actually likes seeing there Win to Lose ratio in pvp?

Personally I really dislike this feature, I’m a perfectionist and having loses on my character puts me off wanting to play PvP because often you can’t help what happens in a team environment.

I would rather there was no performance record on my menu, how do you guys feel about it?

I don’t really want to know how many wins and loses I have, it becomes too competitive also, I just want to enjoy it without feeling like I am being constantly tested and recorded.

I will say I enjoy the commendation feature tho, personally I think thats enough.

I know no one else can see our PvP performance but yeah.
I kind of just wish it wasn't there at all, it's a permanent mark on my character.. It's kind of .. annoying.

I'll also add that PvP is extreamly gear based and often you are outmatched if you que in with randoms.
Another problem I have with it is this, I need to win to earn my PvP equipment so get my wins so forth but there are plenty of players out there who already have some of there PvP lvl 50 gear and there just dominating everyone.

I feel discouraged by the record placed on my character especially knowing I may need to lose many more times before I can get my gear and start wining more often.
The players who are wining all the time now tho just continue to get more powerful while everyone else just rakes up an ugly score.

I don't normally care if I win or lose it doesn't bother me but when there is a record there in your face it kind of makes you care about it.
I'd rather not care or feel like everything ia a competition when all I'm trying to do is have fun, rank up and earn points.

The score makes it feel like a competition and random que'd PVP should not be treated as ranked matches.

How about this instead of how it is now.
.How about in set matches it keeps record of wins/loses but in random que matches it doesn't keep record.
That way those who are just trying to improve there ranks in pvp can do so without worrying about it effecting there profile and just have fun, while those who are really competitive can compete in the set team matches.

Random matches become normal without applying wins/loses "unranked match"
and Set teams become "Ranked Matches"

Right now people are abusing the random matches and queuing in with 3 people anyway so it's only fair that this type of match isn't competitive and doesn't keep record.

Or this, I would be perfectly happy if instead of showing how many games you've won out of a total amount played it instead only showed your win total.
THIS I would really enjoy alot more, I would feel encouraged to try and earn more wins while at the same time won't feel bad about losing because it won't be (IN MY FACE).

Right now the score displayed feels like an annoying child pointing and laughing at you saying haha you lost.
Dose this make me want to keep playing PVP? No not really.

When it comes to the MMORPG world of Final Fantasy I just want to enter and play without having the added stress of weather or not I'll have another win or loss on my profile.

The only person who can see your win/lose ratio is you (correct me if I'm wrong on that). Instead of being intimidated by your own shadow, why not use it as a gauge to see how you're improving? Otherwise, if you don't like it then either don't look at it or don't lose.

It's not a big deal imo.

I'd like to see it record and graph the week-to-week ratio, among other stats, though they wouldn't be an accurate means of gauging your performance until you're fully geared out.

I like it.

I like pvp having a w/l record. Just need adjusting.

I believe it should only keep your record for premade full party pvp matches.

When you do it with random teammates assembled from different worlds. It should not count.

That way people can play, have FUN, build up marks for gear and practice.

I absolutely agree 100% with you that would solve the problem I have with it completely.

It would be like having two matches, one unranked and one ranked for those who want to compete.

All the PVP profiles should be reset and those rules applied, it's a great idea for sure.

I like it. Besides, you'll still know you lost regardless of a record or not.

Right now its the only thing we have to measure our performance. I don't compete to not know how good/bad I did.

Hmmm is this a trick question? If my win ratio is good, of course I like seeing it. If my win ratio is bad, I do not like seeing it. This is why I am glad that we all have the option to look at it or not look at it. :rolleyes:

introduce ilvl110 pvp gear only for those with win rate of 75% +

make strong even stronger :)

Considering the amount of peopel facerolling in groups of 3 their are; I'm rocking a whopping 8% w/l lol. ALmost every match I get into it's a group of 3 were against that completely melt the PUG I'm in.

when they are unable to queue vs solo players and actually face other 4 man premades you wills ee those noobs win rates drop like flies... ot bad it will be to late and most of them will have their ranks and ilvl90 pvp gear farmed...

there are people on my server that queue 3 man which have their ilvl90 weapon chest and legs already....

I like seeing my w/l ;)

As I said in the other thread: If you're a perfectionist, you should be perfecting your PvP strategy and winning all the time (or most of the time).

Also the game does NOT display your losses. It displays Victories and Total Matches. You have to math out the losses yourself. SE displays this information in a positive sort of manner, as it (and games in general) tend to do these days. Same reason Lotteries tell you your tickets are "not winners" rather than "are losers."

If you are bothered so much by knowing that you've lost X number of times, then you shouldn't play PvP in any game anywhere.

Having noticed my record being 30% and now 51% i'm going to say it's a great way to measure progress and let the brain know what works best for my class or style of play and repeat/improve this process so i like it.

I find it incredibly useful, my record is noticeably improved this week compared to last week even though I've mostly duo queued. This lets me know that I'm improving, or everyone else is getting worse... but I like to think it's the first!

No one wins all the time and this style of PvP is extreamly team orientated so one persons performance isn't enough to ensure a victory.

It may not show loses but it shows your total wins out of how many games you have played this to me is the same as showing your loses, it would be much better if it did not display the amount of games played and only displayed how many games you have won.

Exactly. My overall win/lose ratio is pretty bad but my weekly ratio has gotten better since PvP came out. Its encouraging for me!

But the fix is extremely simple- do not look at your win/loss record.

It should not be there. I lost more than one thanks to facing SMN, BLM, SCH 3 man parties when I solo queue. Atleast just have the monthly one only.

Let's say they remove games played and only leave wins, you will still have total games played added up in the achievements. Either way, hiding it doesn't make any difference. You still lost all those games, shown or not.
