This is the PVP environment Yoshida wanted and envisioned so why all the QQ?

I posted this this as a response in another thread, but I think it deserves it's own thread....

Here's the BOTTOM LINE. This PVP system was designed and tailored by an avid passionate PVPer by the name of Naoki Yoshida.
Many of you seem to worship this guy. He clearly based if off of the very competitive and unforgiving system from DAoC. This is his vision for PVP in this game. This is what he designed how he saw fit. This is what they spent countless hours designing. Yoshida and his team of devs must have spent hundreds of hours playtesting. Playtesting with all the gear available, from full fresh relic lvl 45 gear, to DL, to full i90 to full i70 PVP, to full i90PVP. They obviously made PVP a gear grind + skill. Maybe Yoshida likes pwning noobs? This is how they want it. Got it? Are you going to pound your fist and cry that you always lose untill they tweak it so you can win? Sorry if you want to cry about gear vs skill. If you can't win the initial matches to even get said gear.... I don't know what to tell you. Stay out of the arena.

yes, you are right, it was designed by someone who was an avid pvp PLAYER. playing something and making it are to completely different things. You make something and its not perfect, so you tweak and learn until it becomes your vision. im am 100% certain Yoshi is not 100% pleased with PvP just yet and ill laugh when next patch drops and makes changes and all the people who are saying this is perfect start saying " yea that was broken i agree they needed to change that" . It always happens. They are still trying to balance PvE im sure that PvP isnt perfect either, or have we already forgotten about Warrior?

Nobody is saying it's perfect, it's FFXIV PVP 1.0 ffs, but this is obviously what its going to be like.. a gear grind + skill.

i think the gear grind is good as well as some sort of raning system for 4v4 would be awesome there are just class imbalances needing to be adressed melee uptime on a target sleep miasma healing debuff those things are what complain about . and when i say melee i mean drg and mnk i think warrior uptime is in a good place the other melees needa lil love

I think it's teamwork more than anything but meh. I'm not sure how OP the pvp gear is, I don't know anybody that has any lol.

Thats fine, its not my favorite, in fact i hate that kind of PvP. My major concern though, is balance, and the seemingly non existance of it.

Because there's a lot of broken stuff.

I agree that there are things that should be accepted and not "petitioned" or "QQ" about, but any artist understands and welcomes critiques.

Naoki Yoshida is no different.

I hope he'll embrace the minor flaws in design, and improve upon them. That's what any truly "progressive artist" does.

He was a PVPer in a game from over a decade ago, his ideas are old, outdated, and archaic.

There are several people on Leviathan in half ILVL90 PVP gear already. They do the same thing queue as BLM,SMN,WHM and run around face rolling people with sleep and perma slow + perma healing debuff. They believe they are skilled because they have played non stop and have this great gear already because they take the most OP comp in the game and run it against pure pugs all the time. Yep way to go that's competitive PVP for you clearly skill wins.

Can't seem to agree with people saying pvp is perfect. It's not but it will (hopefully) get better, in many ways. It's also not the worst there ever was.
Yoshi might understand pvp, but he especially asked us to be patient cause the dev team is new to pvp in the last live letter.

PVP isn't perfect and needs balancing, it's the people complaining about gear progression that are wrong. Every real PvP environment has gear progression, no WOW and GW are not real PVP games.

I made this post not because I'm a Yoshida fanboy but because so many of you are. Hence I started my post off with:
