how to make money post 2.1?

on my world everything getting even more cheaper, crafted equip sells only for 80k and still going down overtime, cost 1125 philo/ 12x WP SR
furniture material goes down from 80k to 10k in less then 24 hour

cheapest housing cost 8 mil

can anyone suggest what should i do to make money ?

Since there is a lag between when the update hits and when people actually have houses to put their furniture in, supply of furniture materials will tank the market well before there is even anyone buying that stuff.

PvP gear was decent money for a few nanoseconds.

Funny how my FC made about 2m from selling just a few furniture materials and yet there's not single house sold in my server. People who bought them expecting to make quick cash must be reaaaaaaaally disapointed.

yeah i was trying to sell that material but i think im not fast enough... the day after patch everything going down, like from 90k each to 15k

Um, I've made over 100k just running my daily Duty Roulettes so far... SE really screwed up here because there are so many more gil fountains and so few gil sinks now. Inflation has already begun. Honestly, housing is a joke. Gil is pointless, as everyone is swimming in Tomestones and there is nothing to spend gil on. Even food persists after death, so you save money there too.

In short, to make gil, all you have to do is actually play the game.

Don't you mean deflation? If there's nothing worth buying because the best gear comes from dungeons prices should be going down on everything , not up.

yes, there's lots of competition and lots of undercutting but I respond very fast to them. i check the market boards very often and sometimes i just watch a movie or some anime while camping the MB/summoning bell so i beat undercutters most of the time.

i also made myself a reference spreadsheet to keep track of what i'm selling, how much they're going for, and what mats I need to have on hand, like this. saves me a ton of time and makes it a ton easier to check prices since i don't need to check each entry individually while talking to my retainer. all the time i spend checking each price is time that my stuff aren't up for sale. soon as something sells, i remove my retainer's name under the retainer column so i'll know what to make.

if your player market prices are going down, generate gil from outside the player market. Use leves, roulette, and dailies.

If you do all the dailies, and all the duty roulletes once a day, that's 20k gil+ a little. However, all of this will take you at least 4 hours, who's got time for that?

I sell Tier III Materia which is worth more than tier IV atm due to the free materia they give from story quests now. I run the high level roulette once a day for the 70+ myth, and I sell all the mats I get from drops on the ah. Plus I shell odds and ends things here and there that drop, I avg about 10k a day on the ah, and 10k+ from the other stuff, so steady 20k a day coming in doing nothing I wouldn't be doing anyways.

When Im running a dungeon I just put my il49 accessories for spirit binding on. When they bind, I convert them. Get lucky sometimes and get Quick Tongue and Determination and make a good chunk of change there.

Also all the new story line quest additions and hildibrad, theres at least 120k in quest rewards right there.

I am hanging on to all the TIer IV materia I got though. Eventually people will be past that story, and the prices will go back up.

I'm sorry, but your post was a lie too.

Duty Roulette itself gives about 500 Philosophy tomes. And that's 4 Tome crafting mats already, assuming crafting mats are selling for 9k per piece (can go higher depending on server), it's already a 30k+ profit, and that's only for 1 day. Beast tribe gives Philosophy tomes too, but is pretty neglible. Not accounting the gils you can get from each roulette and beast tribe quest.

Food expiring on death doesn't necessarily mean people are generally spending less. I know quite a few people that use food now that normally didn't bother before the update. Can go both ways...

The prices in food haven't really changed much due to the update not because of changes in demand but because it was already selling at the cost to make them. It was already at the effective price floor.
