New Items -- How Are They Acquired?

Anyone know how to get the new items? I've been looking around and haven't found many answers.

Items of Interest:

- Blue Fox Hide

- Chinchilla Hide

- New Dyes (Currant Purple, etc.)

I would expect the Chinchilla hide to drop from Chinchillas in Coerthas. Dyes are most likely crafted and I have no idea about the blue fox hide, they said new monsters were added in this patch so maybe it's one of them, or just a weird item name for a current mob.

I obtained a chichilla hide in a treasure chest from one of my treasure huntings.

Yeah I'm guessing it's not obtainable from the open world Chinchillas since its selling on balmung for 450k ea atm. :D

Some of the new dyes are craftable or bought from beast vendors, I think.

yeah I think some of them come from daily vendors when they showed that part of the live letter there were dyes/pigments in the list but can't read japanese so don't know which.

Along the same vein does anyone know where the new green stuff on the boards drop from? I looked up Aubriest's Allegory and it looks like it may have been a conditional drop from version 1.0 possibly from cutter's cry.

I was looking through my crafts last night and there are a lot of new furniture and dyes I can make. Can't remember the specific dyes, though.

I could be wrong on one or two of these, but to my memory,

Plum Purple
Othard Blue
Storm Blue
Sunset Orange
Kobold Brown
Ochu Green

are all new craftable dyes.

Bumping this cause I'm really curious what treasure maps give the blue fox hide as a reward.
Everyone wants the Glacial gear but I saw the Highland set and I must have it! I'm a Highlander its meant to be! >_<

You can only get the hides from treasure map (8 group). The new dyes I have no idea. I have the Glacial and Highlander sets just from doing 8 man treasure map hunting sometimes you get bad luck and end up with nothing.

Awesome ty I was wondering if it was from Peisteskin or the lower lvl ones.
We got some Chinchilla ones but I'm shooting for the Highland set ^_^b lol

If it is like the dyes that are currently craftable they have parts and an acquired skill you get automatically after a certain level that lets you craft dyes. The other part is gathered and you put them together. I have no idea if the new ones are different.

P.S You can get Blue fox from the lvl 40 maps its a level 40 recipe but the glacial set the chin fur is the lvl 50 and only received it ever through the 8 mans. :<

Highland smock: looks better dyed imo.

I got the blue fox hide from the lv. 45 map.

blue fox hide is from goatskin map which is why they are so expensive. No minions from that one
Chinchilla is from peisteskin map

some of the new dyes are crafted but most are from the beastmen vendors. More and more show up as you gain ranks
the greens and browns are from sylph, blues and yellows from amal'ja but forget the rest
