A Place to Call Your Own: A "Mog House" Discussion.

This game is fun, but lets face it. It doesn't feel like home.

I feel like one of the things we are missing is a "Mog House" feature. I would love to see a (FFXIV) world where I can go home like in FFXI. But I think that instead of 1 room it should be a house with different features like + to cooking when in a kitchen. Or be able to customize your entire house layout. To be able to have certain rooms designated as crafting rooms. A bedroom with beds you can sleep on (If Minecraft can do so can FFXIV!). And of course, Furniture!

All I'm saying is that I need a place to call me own.

I also miss having a Mog House. Its nice to have a home where you can sit without people running all around.

I would love a "Company House" since they are coming out with Company Airships, or just have a room on the airship ( like click on a door and goto residential area that takes you directly to your room). I don't really want a Moghouse in each city kind of deal, it worked for FFXI but that wouldn't feel right on FFXIV.

I have a feeling though that when Chocobos come around that you will be able to use them as a pack mule of sorts as well as a mount. They said they wanted to do something different with Chocobos that they haven't ever done, and to me that screams packmule. Also I would personally rather see a small camp set up kind of deal, where you could drop down a camp in a safe location and access certain things without having to go to town. That would definitely make you feel more like an Adventurer out on his own or with a group of companions. Just an idea though.

I'd like a mog house too. The reason you see this thread so often is because alot of people feel passionate about it.

I would love a mog house as well, its kinda sad being homeless and sleeping on the streets.
At least i could take a nap in a real bed during a CS lol

I really loved decorating my MH in XI, it looked like a freaky museum and every piece held a dear memory.

The new moghouse should be able to add rooms to to then :D for example first room is free, then 200k for next one, with x percent increase per room. Yes, we got carpenter, we now need furniturer, decorator, potter etc. Sounds like a great idea if you ask me :)

A linkshell-type mog house would be awesome. Just like the ones in XI but bigger for all the members in your LS. Then you could actually show off all your furniture and stuff instead of just hiding it in your house xD

Yup, I want my house. Also another reason to level weaving and carpentry. Go go go!

Mog Houses, how I miss thee. But seriously, having a player owned space, is a great way towards fostering immersion and helpinga player "care" for their character.

I loved having a Mog House, and I was one of those players that filled it with all the random furnitures from quests, missions and events. Just made you have a history with your character, all in one "room"

So yeah, do it SE, you're good at that =]

Not sure where you got Airships from, as I understood it was "ships" that was stated by SE. As in boats. I wish it was airships though, that would be awesome! :D

I was thinking of a couple more things to add to my upgrades from the FFXI Mog Houses. For one, some sort of yard or garden for... you guessed it, gardening! Two, (and this one I am REALLY excited about) everyone is talking about chocobos and breeding, It would be awesome to have a chocobo stable in your house! That is where you could care for it when it grows up and when it finally becomes an adult you could customize it with accessories, armor, etc.

I would LOVE a Mog House. In games like XI and PSU, decorating and having my own place to return to was awesome. It was even better in PSU than XI, because I could leave my house always open to buddies, adjust the decor, the layout, and even the music that played. Would love seeing something similar in XIV!

i use to play runescape and you could build you're own house i would like something like that in ffxiv, where u build and customise you're house. what also be kool is a linkshell house where on the walls would be trophies of the linkshell's achievement's i think that would be awesome. Also the linkshell leaders could build and change it up to be different from every other linkshells house out there. thats just my idea what you guys think?
