If you like a challenge, there are EM primals, you know?
Try it with everyone in average ilevel 55 gear. That's the minimum requirement, correct? Or maybe even broken gear.
I know that, and i'll be doing those too. But it doesn't take away from the fact that CT shoud have taken longer than that. Beaten in our first run as a df group?
Not sure what you were expecting... it is meant to be casual raid finder content. As time goes on and the playbase matures they can make the newer content harder but for now it will need to be fairly easy or it will just be badly implemented content. the majority of the playerbase is better off is they ease into this sort of content.
Not every group is downing it first try. This morning I heard a few people in shout who couldn't finish it. Sounds like you just got a good group or a lot of peeps were carried.
Got to last boss first try.
Seems like it's going to be a pain to get everyone playing as a team and the amount of rage fest will be high.
Generally the more hardcore crowd in the beginning in instances like this where you have to do a fairly lengthy chain of quests to get in (with the FATEs that take quite an investment of time as it is now). It will get harder in a few weeks. :P
Keep in mind CT was originally supposed to be in game at launch. It was supposed to be the "easy" step before anyone did BC. Now it's just... filler material. Good to have fun and mess around in, but ya isn't actually a challenge. Wish I had gotten a chance at it but I've wasted 3 hours waiting for SE stupid fates...
That's because it was supposed to be the entry level raid, to be done before Coil.
It's not too difficult but I love it. What a great 24 man raid. I thought that the groups of eight went off on their own paths but everyone does everything together. Had a fantastic time in there.
It was pretty easy, but i had a lot of fun and thought it was very well done. The hardest part, in my opinion, is getting everyone to pay attention and do what they are supposed to do.
It's not hard content. It's more like a matter of luck. YOu get your premade and hope the other teams won't be completely clueless about how to play anything but a hotkey masher.
Isn't the gear you get from CT i55 or i70?
Are you in Coil gear? iLvl 90 stuff? If you answer yes to that, then I may suggest you get soem sleep and shake your head a bit because CT is a progression to Coil.
If you answered no to my question, then I think it was just the right amount of difficulty with 24 people, we were group A and we knew our roles, we made it all the way to the last boss but ran out of time on our first attempt, however it wasn't easy in a sense that we had a lack luster group C that needed help. You can imagine who lacked on the DPS when it came to Atomos and the Bomb boss.
someone better pick up that phone.
Cause i CALLED IT!!
CT was too fun.
ct is the worst joke ever and i definetly will stop my subscription asap. 1 item per week? really? whats actually the point of having multiple classes on 1 char? btw.: just tried ct random, random bard got an item at the first boss and left the raid....there was like no point for him to go any further. gg SE this system is beyond stupid and extremely antifun! wanted to use ct to equip my 2nd classes since my main is already decent 90 geared but noooo....it's even worse gearwise then coil, gg SE
btw.: Garuda EM is even easier then the Hardmode....
It's the most fun dungeon in the game. I wouldn't care if it dropped nothin
Crystal Tower was amazingly fun. I LOVE all the mechanics that require the parties to work together.
I really enjoyed CT , did it with N'hara Tia actually and we had tons of fun, definitely funner than regular dungeons and dealing with the pugs makes it even funner.
I think that until they manage a whole alliance to enter a raid (now you can only as a party) you can't have raid be real difficult. They are working on let a alliance enter the raid, once that is ready we can see a raid that need a FC/LS group
i want the option to work for all the gear i want and not wait for some bs reason just because SE need 3 month to get new content but guess what, in this 3 mons its possible to get like 12 items out of ct, thats 2 classes at best..who the fuck came up with this shit? i started this game partially becuase of the idea of playing multiple cclasses on the same char but this system is utterly pointless in this game, u still gotta play other chars if u want them equipped in time.....and if i wanted that i would just play one of the other 100 mmorpgs out there...well an i probably will.
... I have yet to do it... too many options ...
Did my first CT in a full JP group with very limited knowledge of Moonspeak. I understand maybe 15% of what they were saying most of the time but was fun no less.
Dark Light, AF 1.5 now easier with 450 cap per week, CT, Ultima gear, Coil gear. Dunno what extreme mode primals give but maybe gear? Given they vary from 70-90 in terms of ilvl that's still quite a few options to gear up with. Can tell ya enjoy those f2p pay to win games.
I'm jealous. I spent hours getting the quest done to enter, then over an hour and a half waiting on a group. (My ls was busy with other junk.) Then one full party bailed after the first failed attempt at the very first group of mobs. I was ready to cry last night.
OP didn't get the memo about it being a more casual "raiding" tower where as BC was more for the hardcore players.
I look forward to 2.2 with how fun CT was and how bland coil is - I do like the design of crystal tower I must say!
CT is designed to be beaten in a DF group (AKA: a disorganized group of uncooperative strangers) in i55 gear. That alone should say enough, but I bet almost everyone in your run was in i70-90, as all of my several runs were as well. That's a substantial gear difference. You may as well complain that WP isn't hard enough for relic players. Besides, its designed as casual content: Its not meant to be Coil where you'll probably wipe a few times learning it.
