CTRL causing character to stop moving

Currently I use Ctrl + certain letters/numbers as keybinds and ever since the 2.1 patch released my character stops moving when I hit ctrl. For example, my sprint keybind is Ctrl + S. In the past I could be moving forward and hit this keybind and start sprinting without stopping, now my character stops moving and I have to re-trigger the keybind for moving forward. I play Bard and my silence macro/keybind has been Ctrl +1 and now I stop moving when I use the keybind and this never happened before. I don't really want to have to change all of my keybinds and this is really inconvenient for my play style. I've looked all over for a solution and have not been able to find a fix. I really see this becoming a problem particularly in Bahamut's Coil Turn 2 when I have to silence as I am passing rot between players.

You're not alone there, I'm also getting this problem. It's not all the time, either. Pressing CTRL also brings up a battle target while engaged in battle, meaning that I'm missing cures and raises (think PVP here) because a battle target is being brought up from CTRL. Outside of battle, while on the field, this is temperamental at best. 70% of the time CTRL will stop me, then randomly it behaves itself.
Also worth noting is that numpad 0 seems to have stopped bringing up the submenu for targeted PCs, which I use quite a bit too.

Any word on this? I'm a Paladin and my Shield Lob is set to Ctrl 1. Not being able to continually run towards the mob while spamming the ability is quite frustrating.

Yeah, running into this issue on BRD, annoying being stopped in my tracks while moving.

I have run into the same issue on Dragoon while running dungeons. Given how much melee have to move in boss battles this poses a big problem.

I also notice a red circle appear on enemies like I'm cycling targets. I wont be able to attack while this is occuring and have to hit ESC and re-target. Very annoying. I have not been able to identify what this "cycle" is in the keybind or options to turn off.

Bumping this up! because this affects my gameplay bigtime! most of my important skills are in control shortcut, i cannot execute them while moving to position the mob properly

I am not having that problem. Just tried it with my Miasma II. I do the slidy-glide thing, but i still move

It's numpad * now, btw (which always worked before too, they just stopped having "confirm" bring up the menu, which was pretty annoying in combat for controller users).

I had the same Problem on Paladin yesterday on Turn 4. I am usually the Offtank, so i need to run while using Flash. It is set to CTRL+1 and as soon as i use it, my Character Stops.

Seems only apply to certain Actions, but is annoying as hell, if i have to switch from Offtank to Maintank because of it.

It's basically any option that calls Ctrl into play. It's annoying as hell ... please SE fix this. This was working perfectly fine until 2.1.
I, too, use legacy controls from XI and XIV 1.0 ... using numpad as my directional moving. Hitting Ctrl button while moving with the num pad will stop your character in place. (Hence .. any Hotbar key using Ctrl will also stop you in place from moving) This actually breaks my gameflow for advanced content quiet a bit.

OK !! Solution / Reason why this is happening:
I was thinking about it and figured out what happened. Ctrl + Numpad #s are now an actual commands! It's bound to: Targeting > Cycle Through Enmity List (Various options) Remove these or rebind them and problem is fixed : )
No thanks to the people who don't play with classic controls /o/ (Classic controls FTW)
