FC Housing vs Personal Housing: Benefits?

I was reading through the multiple threads of housing and was wondering (if any of you can answer, I have never played a game which had a housing system), what difference will there be between FC and personal housing? Is there any benefits to have both of them or can one of both do the same exact thing than the other (apart from the obvious fact that for personal housing, we are the only one choosing what goes where)?

Please, enlighten me.

As it stands, one of those options doesn't exist and virtually no one can afford the other. You're unlikely to find any real answer to your question any time soon.

Also "personal housing", as far as I know, may just be a personal room in an FC house. We don't even know if it will be individual houses.

Well i cant afford 8Million+ lots so having FC house is actually not that bad if everyone chips in to buy one

FC housing is the only housing involved atm as far as this game goes, but one would assume FC housing would be closer to something along the lines of a 'Guild Hall' where the members gather together for meetings and FC events and such. Personal housing would be like one's home in the game world.

It's likely that personal housing would cost less since it would only belong to one player... Possibly... at the same time, there's more players than there are FC's, so I would still expect it to be expensive unless they go the one-door-for-all-houses route like in FFXI.

I don't think there's any actual game benefits aside from displaying trophies that drop from the Primals and decorating with furniture, though I'm sure SE could -create- benefits down the road, or add features to go along with as-yet-to-be-released new content.

Housing is a Vanity thing, if your FC has the gil than yeah why not. People dont really need it to play the game

I can just imagine the storm that will occur if they made personal housing just a room off of a fc guild house. With all the current issues with fc housing that would just compound it.

Now, its not needed , but it will eventually be required. Since they said to access future Raids you will need your FCs crafters to build a ship or some other transportation in your FC crafting hall.

They said there would eventually be both. Personal housing and a personal room in the FC house. We will get 1 of them in 6 months, they haven't decided which yet.

There will be both Personal houseing and FC Room Housing.

As of now Yoshi-P is determining whether to implament the FC Room first or Personal housing first but he has stated both FC rooms and Personal House will be avaliable eventually.

FC housing will also be giving buffs to the FC eventually, enhancing crafting and giving all assortments of bonuses and sorts of convenience. Then comes making your own ship.... and airship... then chocobo breeding.. the list goes on. It's a BIG part of the game... that most will never see on most servers.
