Blood Letter and Straight shot

Blood letter is now 130 potency instead of 150
Straight shot is now 130 instead of 140

I thought we were only getting a cross class skill adjustment? Why wasn't this mentioned in the notes?

If it isn't a typo and is indeed a change, it was not announced. It would effect BRD's sustained dmg which since launch was already the lowest.

Verification from SE on this is needed.

EDIT: Looks like the problem is carelessness, not outright malice. I'm not seeing any difference in damage output, guessing they messed up the tooltip.

Wow, so now they're resorting to ninja nerfs? WTF is going on here?? When I chose to gear bard over my other classes, I never realized that it would amount to countless hours wasted. SERIOUSLY SE, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! How much more could you possibly nerf one class?? This may be the last straw for me...

You may wanna double check that its not a tooltip error. Sounds like Jump might be the same way... hitting at 200 potency while the tooltip states 250. Innovation says 50% control boost even though its unchanged from the 30% prepatch?

Sounds like there are a lot of tooltip errors that made it into 2.1. So definitely check it out and confirm that you are actually hitting at the listed potency.

This is why I waited till after 2.1 to do any serious end game gearing, even when people were telling me I needed to gear my BRD ASAP. Nah, I'll wait to see what kind of nerf bat SE hits BRD with. I knew something was coming.

Wonder if I can quit that relict reborn quest and do another job instead...

While I don't think these nerfs were required in the slightest, I think they're setting up Bard for the inevitable "Hybrid" role that Bard is already supposedly filling.

I'd be totally okay if they buffed their actual support with this nerf, but nada :/

It is a tooltip error. Heavy shot and bloodletter still do the same damage.

Yep, Bloodletter is still hitting the same as Heavy Shot with 150 Potency.

Logical sadly, I hope not though. While I enjoy the additional support role being tacked on, I chose archer because I enjoy being a damage dealing archer, take that away and there isn't another class that appeals anywhere near as much.

Except that it won't work. SE hasn't provisioned for a support class in their party makeups. It's 1 Tank, 1 Healer, 2 DPS (and multiples of this ratio). If you drop out one of the DPS for a support, either they need to be solid enough DPS that they aren't really support, or provide so much party buffing that it becomes almost obscene in an 8 Man when people break the pattern and bring an extra DPS instead of an extra support. If they had 5 man parties (Tank, Healer, 2xDPS, Support), then I absolutely think it could work, especially if they balanced content around this from the get-go.
