SQE has been promising new hairstyles since 1.0, before they ever announced ARR

All they managed to add were two hairstyles from effing FFXIII of all things and some adaptations of styles they already had

Providing that all the original hairstyles are available for purchase (I'm at work, so I can't confirm), it's still a nice feature.

Gonna get me a haircut as soon as I get online. I want some long, swishy Bard hair for my Roe, but I'm not holding my breath.

Im content with just being able to change it for now.

Plus, the lightning hair is the best in the game!

Kinda annoyed that one particular Elezen hairstyle wasn't included.

They had to add the entire framework to allow you to go in and change the hairstyle. Now that the system is in place all they need to do in future patches is add more hair models. Be patient and enjoy the fact that you can change your characters look around for now.

Great...so I should not be expecting the long hair male elezen one that I saw on a concept art during a livestream.
Nor should I expect to see female elezens with this hairstyle? If that's true, I have to say that I'm slightly dissapointed...

More hairstyles will be added in the future guys, have a little patience.

The dev team has been whiped bloody and has been kept going on pure cafeine IV drips by Yoshi to get us the 3 GB patch with at least hours of extra content.
I wouldn't be surprised if more of those were to be added in in-between patches.
