let's share some impression on new patch

new pet control is super irritating
-Steady, the pet not only do nothing, also can't order them to spell anything
-Obey, can be used in place of old steady, but NEED to target on a mob first

MedicaII is....weak.....super weak. even weaker than i expected
doubt it'll be of any use now
CureIII is okay
Holy is a bit weaker but stills strong and technically the same so its fine :p

You are using it in the wrong situations then. You might want to try it before aoe situations after which ppl do not get damage anymore (if they dont fail) e.g. Turn 2, titanstomps or the occational loose soldier in turn 4. In the first case ist good to have slow reg on everybody. The raid might drop to 50% in the last 2 cases but wont get anymore damage. So who cares if it takes 20 secs till they are up. Old medicaII might have been an aggroproblem there. Not anymore. People failing repeatetly might die more often but they deserve it.

Yup, that will be my approach as well.

what do you mean by 'before aoe'?
wasting upfront healing for super weak regen party is a good idea to throw MP away
T2, i thought it might be the only use but after i test the current potency, i'm not even sure it can keep up with the damage. still need to try, ofc
T4, leaving regen effect before the mobs came out is a surefire way to let loose the mobs, if any WHM do it like that, I'm pretty sure it's the reason ppl whining about WHM agro there
Titan's Tumult was already outdamage the old regen potency before, this is just pointless, now hug and eat CureIII!!

I never have a problem with MedicaII agro before, unless I intentionally do it :\

Lets be honest, none of those encounters even require medicka2, normal medicka is sufficient. Your raid can right click to remove the debuff in between waves in t4 if they need too, realistically the raid shouldn't be taking that much damage until you hit the soft enrage...

Why am I the only one to give you a like. I am just going to pretend that I started on Day 1 today and so I don't need to worry about anything else.

The new medica 2 is really disappointing, in situations where I would need that much healing the slow regen takes just too long to risk not topping people off with normal medica, which I didnt have to do before and now I have to waste mp to ensure people are at least 80% health.

yep medica 2's slow trickle doesnt really fit with this game, pretty much gonna be either cure 3 or medica spam more of the latter i'm afraid. One less thing separating us from scholars. Might as well remove the upfront heal and make it an insta cast aoe regen. The initial heal doesnt make any sense on medica 2 anymore.

Bit frustrating, i was hoping to be wrong about how hurtful this change was going to be. Also cure 3's range is still a bit lacking, it would be acceptable around 8y i think, and as expected the proc on cure 3 will rarely get used. increasing the duration or proc chance of the overcure could change this.

I'm not home but i'm talking with friends online and wow... the pvp is broken.

Plus the ninja bard potency nerf that wasn't in patch notes appears to be real, certain skills are showing at 130 potency. I'm curious if anyone noticed any healing "ninja" changes that were not announced in the patch.

Hope its just a tooltip error.

anyway, just done Ultima HM, feels like an idiot everytime throwing out MedicaII now

I'm not happy with the extra moves it takes to put my pet into Obey mode, and the requirement that I target an enemy to do so (why?) Other than that, I'm happy with the new content, PvP is amazing, the game seems more balanced, etc. Basically just the pet thing, everything else is awesome.

I've been having a rough time in Pharos Sirius. The fights there can be insanely annoying sometimes. But it's new, so I guess I gotta give it a while before it becomes routine.

Only done Ultima HM and Titan HM for some new FC members.
Titan was easy. Partially solo healed but I am also outgearing the fight. I kept Medica II up at all times and healed stompes with Medica I
Ultima I had Medica II up at all times as well. Together with DS it's a nice buffer but as expected I topped of people with Medica I most of the time so the regen would tick despite people being topped off.
I did throw some Cure III for testing but the problem I have is that it depends on your party setup outside of fights where you have to huddle together for certain situations). We did the mechanics somewhat wrong since we had the MT eat balls instead of a group so it might come in handy there. During a hectic fight it's hard to keep an overview and estimate if a Cure III is the right option or just wasted mana in non stacked situations.

If I can pop SoS every CD I was ok with MP (but again, I outgear the fight). Won't do Coil until tomorrow so we'll see then.

I just figured I'd add something, I know you guys onl care about titan and post titan content, but cure 3 is awesome on garuda hm.

I mean seriously I couldn't be happier.

It's such a stack up fight you get miles outta each ones.


I think it also depends, if you have more melee's in your group, then they stick, wait till they go side, then hit em and you'll get tank too. Range works for me. Once you realise what it is, and get a sense of how that can be used, it's now a go to spell for me.

Also on medica two,I use it before her big aoe, then use medica one after it for top off, with the regen I don't have to chase everyone down, saves me mp. Cause right after that its just garuda for awhile, so the ticks have time. If I need something faster, I use a different spell.

But I know, if it's not titan or above, it don't matter.

I did Haukke Manon HM yesterday, and the change on whm helps a lot for this dungeon. Med2 low potency allow us to keep it on for all the boss fight, just mix it up with Divine Seal and it's really enough to keep your dps hp topped. Cure 3 can now me usefull if you got a good communication with your team, pretty much gather, heal and spread out. Holy is still really good even with the lost of potency... And yeah Blizz 2 is really useless...

Actually, Garuda HM is one of the fights where Cure III can indeed come in handy. I mentioned it several times when I voiced my fear about the changes and from what I saw Garuda EM has also quite a bit of stacking.
It just asks for more communication with the group. As I mentioned, I don't think it's as bad as I initially thought and they seemed to have mechanics adjusted so you actually do need to stack (ie. Pharos Bosses and also Ultima for some of the mechanics).
I am still worried about overall MP consumption if we use Cure III as a proper tool in our rotations. I did cast it without the proc being active and my MP suffered for it.
I find it really dangerous to have a proc ability of a cast that already relies on a proc ability for MP saving.

The great:

The new dungeons
The cute cat and dog minions
PvP (to my big surprise)

The bad:
No housing
Putting Fates in many quests (lazy and awful. wait for 40min for a pop is NOT fun)
Changes to my main job Scholar and my subjob Bard... but will get used to it

Weirdly enough I hear nobody talking about CT...anyone here ran it yet? How's it to heal, with the tools we have (or lack) now?

haha CT us just a big mess for healers, everything is so spread out, with poison in the middle.

you spend a lot of time running around trying to find someplace safe within reach of your guys, but the healing isn't bad in itself.

I think it will be hard to judge until we get more used to it.
The best part was being in one of the first groups in, and trying to figure it out.

Uh yeh had that "pleasure" for PS, but doubt I will for CT, seen how for me it's terribly hard to put 8 persons together and odds are a lot of people already did it by the time I get it.
And your words are not reassuring *_* Though what you say seems a lot like PS first boss, except that's sure much easier....not sure I wanna heal big groups with these skills <.<

Tbf they probably nerfed Medica 2 so double WHM stacking of the regen wasn't so lol worthy. I think Cure 3 has been put in a better place now and makes sense for a lot of controlled fights, hell T4 emergency override aoe just stack > cure 3, fireballs in T5 > cure 3, ADS tank swaps (will be within 6 yalms) > cure 3 top both tanks instantly. The fact that it has such a nice potency is good, people just need to get used to actually controlling a group properly to encourage using Cure 3.

The overall aoe situation is far better for WHM than SCH anyway right now, with only 1 heal on a minimal potency that causes conflicts with our other shield ability and can't be stacked with a second SCH. (This isn't to suggest SCH are weak, but I think they are both in good places right now).

I don't think anyone wouldn't agree with you in that the changes are not as bad as we thought and with good communication are quite nice. That doesn't solve the problem that we have MP issues if we are supposed to use Cure III as a go to AoE heal now. It's by far not ok to add a proc that is linked to a spell that we already mostly cast on another proc. Noone in their right mind will or can spam Cure II to force a Cure III proc. They should either increase the proc % on Cure II or put it back to what it was and instead adjust SoS accordingly.

As soon as I discovered Selene will alternate Fey Glow and Fey Light now, it became my favorite patch ever.

I canceled automatic renewal after logging in and finding out they made the pet commands even more convoluted than they were before
They've had three months to figure out a functional pet command system and this is what they come up with??

Can't we have like
Stance to attack(embrace) and use skills
Stance to attack(embrace) but not use skills
Stance to not attack(including embrace) or use skills
Sic to change pet's attack target while still obeying stance rules
Able to order the use of skills regardless of stance, without changing the stance

I'm still learning the new dungeons but I am not at all unhappy with the changes to WHM. I will just need to communicate more for my cure III usage like stated below because I was having trouble with it and still wish it was a 10y radius. I will take what I can get however. Here's a question for everyone: Is there an option that you can turn on in your character config that will show the radius of your own heals? That would help with judging distance in an emergency for many healers imo. When I get all panicked is when I make errors in judgement (as do many others). I just want to be able to utilize Cure III outside of stacking moments is all.
