Just posted on the lodestone in the english lodestone. it says extended 1 hour.

Knew I should of just went to bed. Shame on me for actually believing the developers. -.-

Just another broken promise from Yoshi P. Im sure i read somewhere he said 24 hours was the absolute maximum downtime.
Maintenance extension had better be to change housing prices.

Regarding the all Worlds maintenance associated with patch 2.1, the World servers have been loaded and the login check is currently being conducted.
To be certain that players are able to log in to all Worlds without any problem, we are being very careful with the login check and is expected to take an extra hour.

Even when trion updated their servers(multiple times), their maintenance never lasted this long. Seriously, wtf. Get your s**t together SE.

Is someone actually suprised by this? I wasn't expecting to play before bed that just doesn't happen on patch day.

24 hours maximum? I'm in TS with my buddies and we all expected it. Funny how we all called it but they couldn't predict their own incompetence. Couldn't they just say "25 hours maximum"? Of course not. LOL This is just the beginning.

I really do not mind another hour. However they really need to improve their communication skills. I am sure they did not find out about the extended maintenance 5 minutes ago. They could have told us an hour ago instead of making us wait like morons. The fact it only shows on JP website is really not a nice thing. I know its late/early in USA, but they are the ones planning the maintenance around those hours. I am sure they can find someone to post a delay.

Uhh...it showed in my launcher, so I'm pretty sure they are saying it to all 4 languages. Late? Yes, but not exclusive.

I was expecting the maintenance to be extended. So far it's one of the few things about this patch that hasn't disappointed me.

You were expecting something different? It's a race to see what comes up first......the sun or the servers.

Honestly, I'm sorta glad the maintenance was extended. Watching the forums explode to the point where it's taking them noticeably longer to load is far more entertaining than I expect the patch to be.

2 things I have learned from playing SE MMOs.

1. Never believe projected Maintenence times they always run over. They might as well project for it to take a week that way they will always finish early.
2. Yoshi can't be trusted with what he says. He will say that things will go a certain way but they get changed way too often.

Give it a couple hours and it will be. You will be in game not more than 2 hours and there will be an emergency maint. Square has always been like this. They can't get anything right when it comes to hosting servers. I predict within the next 4 hours, there will be another maint that will span 8. Coming from XI, this is child's play.

Server restarts don't take longer than 15-20 min. If they take longer, you're doing it wrong. Restarts should have been done when the client was loaded on the patch server. This smells like a stall maneuver. FYI from your friendly IT guy!
