Vieras?

I know it would never happen that SE would add another race but if they did who would want Vieras? I just love their design :D

I'd really like to see it, but maybe not the first race they add. They need to add a more Bestial race like the Bangaa or the Ronso to switch things up a bit. Too many pretty humanoid characters just have more pretty humanoids added. BUT, I would want to see them eventually.

Square Enix actually did a poll a while back. I believe the highest voted was a "magical beast" race and Square thought we wanted Viera. Yoshi said if they did decide on Viera, they would be similar to how the XI races lore were switched around. They'd be bunny people, but not the female woodland rabbits we know in Ivalice.

I would much rather a beastmen like race such as Gnoles (ala FFXI) to be added as a playable race.

I'd be really happy if we got bangaa! :D

Eh. I'd like something attractive, but... different.

Something more alien in appearance, I suppose. Maybe sort of long, splindly, and eerie-looking, like I initially envisioned GW2's Sylvari.

Ronso Paladins would make such beastly tanks......... yeah, bad pun, I'll go to my corner now.

I got awesome new idea that's totally new! PANDA PEOPLE! I'd totally make a panda pugilist.

To everyone else: Yea seeing other races in general would be nice. As much as I love the races we have it just gets tiring when you see 4 out of 5 people as a Miqo'te, at least you do on my server.

Rein said in the live stream test yesterday Yoshi mentioned they have decided on a new race and have artwork for it. Whenever that is released is anyone's guess.

Also, we need a race that ends with *oll, so we can never reroll.

They could probably introduce a new miqote clan that look more cat-like/ Ronso. Lore-wisemit won't be too far-fetch. Say they are snow dwelling folk that migrated to coerthas due to the calamity changing their environ ment + they are at war with worshippers of shiva...that seems like a good intro.

There are enough races with pointy ears, so I'm hoping they can add a race with wings!

Since beast tribes can be neutral/ allies then I'd love for them to be playable too! Just imagin playing as a sylph. The programming is already there the only difficulty would have to be putting clothes and facial customization

Bah I want Gria, and anyone who says "but ishgard" I'll point out the game actively makes "you're working with Nazis" comparisons for dealing with their church.

Yoshi said he didn't like the idea of male Viera, and that they might consider another for males but that'd be going back to gender locking races. You'd think he'd know better than to even think that.

I thought they also said there's a possibility for 'mixed races'? half-roe/miquote would definitely trigger my interest or half-roe/lalafell.

I could see that as being a slim Lalafel halfway between a Miqo and lala in height, with either ears or a tail, but not both at once, while retaining general Lalafel features.

Keep Ivalice's races in Ivalice....We already stole Vana'diel's races.....

That's why I hope they make something more..different. Bunnypeople and catpeople just seem...boring. 1 "catgirl" race is enough. However, if they add a more muscular badass looking animal race, go for it.
