This thing has gotten so out of hand. The RMTs and cheaters... Just friggin' ban all their IPs so it won't matter how many copies of FFXIV they have. GET RID OF THEM ALL!!!!! If they can change their IPs, just ban a wide range of IPs.

wish I had the power to make them disappear with a snap of the fingers like SE apparently can
This is a fantastic idea, since everyone knows IP addresses can't be faked or proxied.
Woah calm down how else will I be able to afford a house?!?!?!?
This is the most dumbest idea to combat RMT....
SE is doing business by selling FF14 copies to RMT and banning them later, repeat, repeat, repeat, it's all money...
Not the best idea.
If S.E did that, then they'll lose 200k subscription fees.
I'm sure I am in the majority of players with a full blacklist and receiving constant gil spams that they have no way of dealing with.
they should delete there accounts that simple makes them pay for another account if they want to continue. i reported bots there still botting when i search for them. amazing how slow they are or if they even care.
maybe we all should start botting and getting rich while were sleep, economy is broken from all the loot there putting up and selling super cheap.
RMT has been around ever since there was MMORPG. They're like the hackers. There's just no way to completely eradicate them. One way to get rid of all hackers is to destroy the earth. One way to get rid of all the RMT from ARR is to shut down the game permanently but we don't want that. SE can only slow down the RMT but can never completely get rid of them so you're gonna have to learn to live with them. An MMORPG that doesn't have RMT is a dead one.
All they have to do is call their service providers and obtain a new ip adress.
Mostly games ban in waves. They aren't going to hang around and ban a few each day but rather give it quite a while, round them all and ban a whole heap at once. So i am not surprised you still see bots you have reported. I personally make quite a lot of gil despite RMT's. On a good day I can make around 180k if I put the effort in, and for me that is okay. I work hard when i need gil and it pays off, even with competition. Maybe that isn't much compared to how much I could be making, but it's still a decent turn over in my book, more than decent.
The market isn't completely broken, people just need to adapt for the time being.
