FFXIV nostalgia: Does anyone remember software mouse?

And not being able to sort your own inventory!

Those were the days... I miss them. Back when FFXIV was still fun and still making progress. Back when men were men.

Do you remember when you trolled the forums on gifthorse?

lol im not gonna lie. I had a -LOT- more fun with the original FFXIV than this new version. Grinding to 50 in huge alliances killing 100s of mobs an hour while deep into surplus was a lot of fun.

Yeah.

And playing the market wards. Putting your obese Galka retainer directing on top of your arche-nemesis-crafter's lalafell retainer.

I miss 1 single parry giving 300+ SP

And the weeks I spent on the market ward in search for... marmot meat.

Remember when SE said they'll add an auction house last year? :D

Fanfare was spammed in the zone during one of the beta phases because leveling up was that much faster.

No item sorting.

White player dots all over the minimap and you were fighting to get a non leve mob for exp.

Players were in La Noscea and The Black Shroud.

Behests were free for all fights. At least people resolved to group up now.

Remember when they said the copy pasted terrain was due to large file sizes when it was actually laziness? :D

I remember when there was only limsa. I remember when when we were so excited to get a few minutes of play time before the server crashed and this weeks play time was over. I remember when 30 was the cap. I remember a time before fishing existed. I remember when I thought they were going to make the game semi retail ready before retail.

Or when they said FFXIV would be more like FFVI?

Or when you couldn't do leves near Limsa because server stress wouldn't let you claim your own leve mobs?

I was so used with Limsa Lominsa that now, when I walk through La Noscea and inside the city I have the feeling of being at home, and just by listening to the songs makes me feel good =)
