I see a lot of threads about things people want fixed and changes they are expecting. I've seen a lot of great ideas and good suggestions from other players and i remembered Yoshi-p saying in an interview that him and the development will be discussing the most popular threads.
So i decided to create this thread and put together the best suggestions i have seen in other posts and make some kind of poll/suggestion thread.
All you need to do is vote for which feature you wish to see in the game in each category i have listed. You can also suggest other features that are not listed and if people agree with you and vote for your idea it also be added to this tread.
I'll come and edit this post and votes based on your replies.
The most voted option for each question will have a * next to it.
In a month there will be no more voting possible, the least voted features will be removed and we will have an overview of what the majority of the FFXIV players wish to see in the game's future and hopefully the development team will read it.

Jumping:
1. It needs to be added to the game. (Free Jumping)m (1 vote)
2. It is preferable that there is no jump feature in the game. ( 1 vote)
3. Restricted Jumping, like other FF games did in the past, you can only jump when interacting with the environment in certain places.
Area wide chat channels
1. The addition of area wide chat channels. (ex. /1 will post your message in channel (general chat) and is seen by all players within the area.) (2 VOTES)
2. Leave chat the way it is.
Party search system
1. Add a system that makes it easy for players to search for party members with the ability to see who is looking for a party a possibly for reason/ game content they wish to party for. (2 votes)
2. the addition of such a system is not necessary.
Mounts.
1. Addition of personal mounts to the game such as but not limited to Chocobos. By personal mounts i mean mounts that you will own and can summon at any time for no additional cost.
2. Mount rental system. Mounts can only be rented in cities for an amount of gil and will disappear after a set amount of time.
3. Both systems, System 1 for advanced players and system 2 for low-level players. (2 votes)
City to City transportation system
1. addition of aircrafts and other transportation methods that will let you travel between cities and also from cities and camps without the use of Anima but will take longer then teleport. (2 votes)

2. remove the defend ability and replace with a "block" attribute that will randomly proc when fighting. the higher your block value, the more damage is absorbed.

4. Leave it the way it is.
Limit breaks
1. the addition of powerful/high cooldown abilities for each class. (ex. Conjurers or White mages will have a 1h cooldown ability that will cast a powerful heal on the party, combined with protect, shell, regen) (2 votes)

FFVII style Materia
1. Addition of Materia items that will boost stats. (ex. +20MP, +50 HP etc...) and other types of Materia that will boost class specific abilities. (ex. Makes healing spells grant 15% more HP) (2 votes)

WOW is not the only game to have had mounts. And yes other FF games only had chocobos but this is a mmo and other players might feel that they need different kind of mounts to stand out from the crowd.

This might be a hasty generalization (I don't have the time to go through so many of these threads) but most of the suggestions given out so far are pretty ridiculous. They sound more like a wishlist than anything else--though I would like a gunbladin' totin' class.
But honestly there are other threads that do shed light on what needs to be improved. Anybody else checked out the LS Management thread? I had no idea that you couldn't boot an inactive LS member if they weren't online. That's pretty terrible that they hadn't thought up of that before. -

What I would not like is Gold Chocobos. FFVII was cool, but a large abundance of Chocobo types and colours isn't something that would work well here. Chocobo breeding could be possible, but would be limited to stats only, although some kind of Chocobo Racing event would be interesting as well, PvP Style.

Sorry, new option again: I'm indifferent. I hate leves and won't do them. If SE manages to get the world to reflect the leves, that may change. For instance, I remember a leve where imps were terrorizing farmers and their crops (or something to that effect), and yet I saw no farms or farmers, and the imps were just chilling out in one spot being peaceful.
