Thank you, SE (Patch 2.1)

I quit playing ARR about a month after launch because the combat speed was just way too slow to keep me interested/excited/entertained/awake. I just got done reading the patch notes for 2.1 and I see you still decided against increasing the combat speed. Hell, you haven't even changed the Marauder/Warrior's interrupt even tho a crap ton of players have been screaming about it since launch. Well, I guess I should thank you for keeping my time free and money in my pocket because all those changes you made in 2.1 mean squat without a change to combat speed. Oh...my dog thanks you, too = /

If you have quit the game, then why post? Just leave and get on with your life?

They should make posting require a sub =\

Might not be what the OP is talking about, but I know many a WAR are complaining about the animation of Brutal Swing, as it's long and really makes it weak as a stun as you have to be spot on to get it off, more so if you are doing other actions which will further the animation lag.

I post because I've been keeping an eye on the development of ARR...waiting to see if they decide to change the one big thing that will make me play again. Is that okay with you? Pfft. ARR has great potential to be an exciting and fun game, combat-wise, but unfortunately, is only a game for...I don't know...fanboys? that would rather dredge through the slow combat system regardless of how boring it is just so they can continue to experience a world based on FF? I quit playing Tera because of the same issue. Graphics and legacy don't make a game.

How much faster do you want combat speed to be? Boss fights are already under 10minutes if done correctly. Trash mobs die in under 15 seconds.

Oh, I see. Quit with AK / GC Gear. Can't expect to have fast battles while using bad items.

lol, maybe he just wants instant cast skills so boss battles take 10 seconds and mobs 2, yeah, that would be awesome <end sarcasm> combat system is far from slow, most animations take 2 seconds to do, thats .5 seconds left of waiting, which you would barely notice. your wielding a big axe, do you expect to be able to swing it around like a small dagger? your class is meant to be slow, brutal swings. not quick jabs like a monk. (monk with full GL stacks is 2 seconds GCD) so if you think the combat system is slow, try the class that is supposed to be quicker, not slower.

The stun goes off at the beginning of the animation so it really doesn't matter how long the animation is.
